Anyway, I have work to finish (and enough water to brew a cuppa now, brush my teeth before bed, make a coffee in the morning, and flush the toilet and wash my hands if needed). Fingers crossed this will be fixed soon.

Managed to borrow a key to fill up a gallon of tap water, and if there is still no water come morning, I can pack a bag and shower in someone else's flat. That said, on my walk outside to get back I met an engineer on emergency callout to help fix the issue, so who knows what might happen overnight.

4 hours without water became 5, then 8, then indefinite. And I'm guessing by the noise coming from the boiler room, that it's running on empty and hasn't been shut off.

I remember briefly working nearby during one of the COVID-19 lockdowns and it was eerie to see it so empty (IIRC there wasn't even the super-early morning trade (which I personally found way more interesting to witness (and shop!) than the tourist overcrowding it later in the day)

In the umpteenth episode of "rules for thee, not for me" - where are his consequences? The incident happened 5.5hrs into the flight and the plane turned back; no doubt any ordinary pleb breaking rules and causing this would have been arrested after that landing, regardless of injuries.
