If a team wants to make a substitution and the 4th official can’t get the board to work - you don’t just let play restart 3 times until he finally gets it to work - you stop play until he figures it out. You don’t punish a team because the 4th official is incompetent

The music industry is almost built to obstruct folk like Paul Heaton from having long careers that put them in a position where BBC2 can devote an entire evening to their music. And yet somehow, he has swerved every single trap whilst being a profoundly decent human at all times.

Maybe Harry Kane being allowed to go wherever he wants on the pitch is the problem (and I know France can’t be arsed)

So Curtis has definitely joined the not being picked list. We won’t be able to field 11 players if he carries on falling out with them 🤣 #lfc

For those criticising the reduction in jury trials-been on a jury once and wouldn’t want trial by jury. 3 wanted a quick decision so they could go shopping, 2 said they would go along with majority as they weren’t interested, 1 said you should always believe the police (Hillsborough anyone ?)

Disappointing, I still think its impossible to quantify the impact of grief on performances especially when things aren’t going for you. There are days where it hits you inexplicably out of nowhere- I suspect the games where the they all look flat maybe are those days.

Jagielka saying it was a foul, but it would take a brave man to give it and disallow the goal. So Michael Oliver is a coward. Ferdinand and McManaman agreeing that there wouldn’t have been enough stewards in the ground. Can they hear themselves?!!

Slot went with too many youngsters. Will always lose the physical battle against lower division players - look at how all the prem u21 teams struggle in the Johnstones Paint Trophy. Was let down by pretty much all the senior players though

BBC match report desperate to jump on the Nunez bashing bandwagon “ Mohamed Salah played a clever cross for Darwin Nunez, who missed his effort before Cody Gakpo drilled in” Missed his effort - really ?

The problem with Gary Neville these days (ignoring the obvious) is that he starts every game with a narrative in his head and then spends the whole game twisting everything to fit that narrative. Years since he was a decent pundit

Someone makes a suggestion to slightly change the design of some kitchen knives to make them safer and less likely to be misused, and a Tory MP characterises this as taking "all sharp objects off every adult".

If you asked any Liverpool supporter in August who would be the PL’s outstanding midfielder this season, I doubt if Ryan Gravenberch would have got a single mention. The lad has been sensational. Simply sensational.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok? Signed, a librarian.

Genuinely though, that is extremely poor defending across the board. Gvardiol nowhere near the cross, gundogan jogging back and pointing instead of tracking the runner, stones and walker not doing anything at all

Mohamed Salah is averaging a goal or assist every 67.4 minutes this season. In his first year at Liverpool when he recorded 58 goal involvements, he averaged one every 71 minutes. We look at the Egyptian King and why Liverpool must do what they can to keep him. theanalyst.com/2024/11/moha...

Enjoying Curtis Jones again for England. These games will give him extra LFC confidence. If he gets the simple break of staying fit, and gets the run his quality merits, he could go up levels this season.

Incredible, how casually Kuenssberg skates over the fact she got the facts flat-out wrong in her framing of the opening question, in order to make a hostile editorial point. Just presses on, as if a minister having to put her right on basic inaccuracies is an ordinary part of any BBC interview.
