share your couples art! [OCs] ☔:🌊🛡️🐿️
Digital illustration mimicking some traditional pencil textures. Waist up of my OCs, Elis and Yanni. Elis is an elegant black woman with black hair in long, flowy box braids, a fancy white dress, dark furs on her arms and jewelry all over her hair, neck and wrists. She's wearing a coat over her bare shoulders that clearly belongs to Yanni. Yanni is a tall butch woman with dark/tan skin, dark hair in a shaggy mullet/alt hair cut. She's wearing dark clothes - a button up with rolled up sleeves, tie, gloves, a vest. She has piercings on her face (snake bites, nose ring, brow ring, earlobe reamer), and is wearing dark lipstick and red tinted ground glasses. They're walking side by side under the rain, vague silhouettes behind them implying they're walking the street together at night. Elis is holding Yanni's arm, and with her other hand, Yanni's holding up an umbrella to protect Elis. They're looking at each other, Elis with a soft but kinda sassy smile and Yanni with a serious but slightly raised brow. They're colored in a monochrome, stylized manner, Elis all in shades of blue and Yanni all in shades of red, the umbrella and where they touch colored purple. The bg is in a neutral gray-ish colordigital art in colors, a panel divided in two sides - on the left, we see my OC Leandra, a cute mid/late 20s woman dressed in chef's attire with a round hat, chef's coat, skirt and apron. She's fat with short curly hair styled in twin braids and tucked with hair pins under her hat. She has tattoos on her arm that's showing. She's colored in yellow hues and is bowing forward, one hand behind her back and the other holding a gloved hand belonging to someone outside the frame, painted in red hues. next to it, we see the gloved person's chibi version kinda confused, kinda freaking out, blushing.

On the right panel, we see the perspective of the person whose hand is being kissed - my other OC, Yanni, a mid-30s butch woman wearing a fantasy-like security guard outfit (button up with rolled up sleeves, a tie, vest a cape-like coat on her shoulders, gloves). She is tall and lean with broad shoulders, has an shag-mullet sort of alt haircut, piercings (snakebites, nose/eyebrow rings, earlobe reamer), dark lipstick and glasses. She's looking down at Leandra kissing her hand, completely taken aback. A comically cartoonish/anime like blush is spreading on her face, unraveling way past her face like a tangled string

The city of Tempe, Arizona, says it is ending its Flock program
Tempe, AZ - The City of Tempe has turned off its Flock automated license plate reader (ALPR) system and will end its contract with the company. The cameras are no longer collecting license plate data and will be removed by Flock. The City will not seek another company to replace the system.
While the cameras have been a useful tool for Tempe Police, helping officers solve crimes, recent cases involving the misuse of automated license plate reader systems in Arizona and nationwide have raised concerns about the risks that come with the technology.Tempe Police has found no misuse of its own Flock system. The department audits its searches each month, and no improper use has been identified.
"These cameras have helped our police officers do their jobs, and we don't discount that," said Tempe Mayor Corey Woods. "But the risk of misuse is too great. We have to be able to provide public safety in a way that maintains the trust of our community. For Tempe, that means taking these cameras down."
"Any law enforcement tool used by the City must not pose a risk of infringing on residents' civil liberties," said Tempe Councilmember Bobby Nichols. "We have a responsibility to ensure that these technolo- gies are only employed if they present a narrowly tailored solution to a compelling government interest. I'm grateful to the City staff for this quick action and responsiveness to constituents' concerns."Residents may continue to see Flock cameras in Tempe until the company removes its equipment. Data previously collected by the system is stored for 30 days and then automatically deleted unless it is connected to an ongoing case or investigation. In those cases, the data may be retained as needed for the investigation. No new license plate data is being collected now that the system has been turned off.
Ending the use of the Flock system will change how Tempe Police approaches some investigations. Officers will continue to use other investigative tools and law enforcement partnerships to prevent crime, solve cases and respond when the community needs
them. The decision follows steps Tempe took earlier this month in response to community concerns. On Aug. 10, the City stopped sharing its Flock data with other law enforcement agencies. Tempe Police also launched a public Transparency Portal so residents could see how the system was being used. The portal will be discontinued now that the Flock system has been turned off.
The City of Tempe remains fully committed to both community safety and transparency. Residents can continue to track Tempe's public safety performance through the City's Strategic Management Performance Measures.

sprinkling starlight across the fallen snow✨❄️
Digital artwork of a woman dressed in early medieval robes carries the moon suspended from a chain as she backs across a snowy forest clearing. Underneath her arm is tucked a wicker basket that is tipped to the ground, spilling with stars and twinkling light that scatters to the snow on the ground. The snow sparkles in the light of the moon she carries, and in the valley of the clearing is a small herd of tiny deer, dwarfed in size by the goddess above them. The artwork is colored in shades of pale blues and yellows to emphasize a wintry atmosphere.

If you want to avoid these AI generations of your Instagram posts, without switching your account to private, you’ll have to dig into the app’s settings. Open the Instagram app, tap your profile, and then tap the three lines in the top-right corner of the screen. Then, scroll down to the Sharing and reuse tab. Here is where you should see a section labeled Allow people to use your content on Instagram and with AI features on Meta, with a toggle for Posts and one for Reels.

How long it takes and how hard it is to undo the damage will depend in large part on the political will of the people elected to do it. If you get hand-wringing caveat peddlers who want to deliberate for years before acting it'll never happen. Plan has to be ready on day one
"Why's it taking so long to take down the name when they put it up so fast?" yeah, undoing every single thing he's done is gonna be exactly like that, get used to it

wuthering heights...
a wuthering heights illustration. heathcliff and catherine reach for each other, contained within a coffin shape bathed in crimson; within heathcliff's grasp are three ghostly silhouettes of hareton, cathy and linton. surrounding the coffin, are angled, bare trees and the vast landscape of the moors swathed in greens and browns. a ghostly hand extends from where catherine's was cut off at the edge of the coffin, slightly bloodied. at the very top of the landscape is wuthering heights and at the bottom right is thrushcross grange. 'wuthering heights' is in an embellished gothic font at the bottom of the illustration and 'by emily bronte' is in the same font at the very top.
