I am firmly #TeamSceptic but I thought about this story _a lot_ while out in the dark at 5:30 this morning. <shudders>

There is a reddit thread that has reminded me of the existence of The Garment. It has an almost irresistible siren call. I almost cracked and bought the pattern this time.
A bearded, bespectacled man is looking into an ornate mirror. He is wearing a full length cream knitted poncho with a polo neck. Around the bottom of the poncho is fringing. This is The Garment.

He has a friend now - Nip Nips the Clown was posted recently.
A screenshot from Reddit of a large multicoloured, crocheted clown being hugged by Mr Nipples. The caption says Nip Nips the clown is the nipple relams top paediatrician. His six fingers make things like operations easy work and his long flexible neck lets him get a good look at the children from afar. There's no one else Mr Nipples would trust with the safety of his children.

I would have liked more Mr Palmer (even though he seemed to be played by a child) and Lady Middleton. Also liked John Dashwood. His comic timing was excellent.

Sense and Sensibility is odd - sort of sticks to the novel. Makes Edward 98% less of a idiot. Marianne's passion is mostly conveyed by her hair needing a good brush. It has a very gloomy palette and misses a lot of the humour. Then in the last 20 minutes it goes batshit crazy. Quite extraordinary.

Yes! Mary Poppins in the books is all vanity, ego and touchiness, and is absolutely amazing. I would love to see that on film. The Disney one is too sickly-sweet.

Checkered Textures socks from Knit Socks! pattern book. Yarn was a hand-dyed skein bought locally. Weighted 100 grams, wrapped per inch as 4 ply but was nowhere near enough to do two socks. See if you can spot where it ran out! 😆 🧶
2 green/blue/pink handknitted socks on wooden sock blockers. Halfway down the foot in each sock, the colour abruptly changes to solid pale green. They are sitting on a grey background.

Had resolved to stop buying books until my to-read pile was reduced. Went out today, bought 4 more books. My self discipline is so strong! But in my defence they were all second hand and the little Diary of a Nobody is gorgeous.
A pile of four books: a pocket size Diary of a Nobody, A Necklace of Raindrops, Murder of a Lady, and a folio copy of the complete Tales of the Unexpected.

Adorable guerilla art in the Victoria Art Gallery in Bath.
2 water pipes are emerging from a wall, near the floor. Where the pipes have angled joints, someone has painted them with little faces. There is a gallery-style sign stuck to the wall beside them saying "Pipe Portraits, mixed media installation, artist unknown."

The image is of a four panel comic.
In panel one we see Sarah, the protagonist, lying in bed with the lights out. She says, "Is everyone ready for sleep?"
In panel two we see a brain, heart, and stomach. They say, "Yes!" "Yup!" and "Yep!"
In panel three we see a bladder, squirming. A speech panel says "Bladder?"
In panel four the bladder looks up. It says, weakly, "I don't know".

After almost 13 glorious years, The Galleries in Bristol have taken down the Harry Hill Movie poster in the ladies toilet. A sad day for the easily amused woman queuing for a wee.
A clip framed poster on the side of a metal bin. The poster is for the Harry Hill Movie which came out in December 2013.The same bin with no posters in the clip frame

Aww, not the beautiful Tim Curry leaving us. That one cuts deep. Blue Money was the first thing I saw him in when I was small and we watched the video to fuzziness. Then I found Rocky Horror, Clue and The Worst Witch. He was never less than delightful in anything he was in.

What a Carve Up begins with Kenneth Connor scaring himself reading The Fiend of the Second Floor Flat. Author sadly unnamed.
A screen capture of the film What a Carve Up. Kenneth Connor is sitting in a dark room, reading by the light of a table lamp. The cover of the book has a drawing of a veiled figure with glowing eyes, holding a knife.
