Never doubt the comforting power of creativity. We had two Brown students in our home for a while last night until their parents could get them. They played guitar and read Calvin and Hobbes. I know how upset they were, and it was also amazing to see how centering creativity can be. Also, F the nra.

The area around Brown University -- which is also where I grew up and now live -- is quaint and picturesque. A postcard version of a New England college town. But I never thought "this can't happen here." Because there is nowhere in the U.S. where this can't happen.

New document states that Europe faces the erasure of European civilization. I‘d say I’m not sure how this administration can get any more racist, but I’m sure they will find a way.

Trump's security strategy slams European allies and asserts US power in Western Hemisphere
President Donald Trump’s administration has come out with a new national security strategy. It paints European allies as weak and aims to reassert America’s dominance in the Western Hemisphere.

In keeping with the bounty of Godzilla, I often find peace in this statement.
Picture of Godzilla, with text that reads: Saying "my life stinks" when things go wrong is self-deprecating, defeatist, and fills you with sadness. Saying, "this isn't the life Godzilla wants for me," is motivating, makes you think about Godzilla, and reminds you that Godzilla cares about you.

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.

Choose 20 MONSTERS you have loved from childhood. One MONSTER per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations, just MONSTERS. Day 2 (or maybe day 4? I did Day 1 three days ago.) Also, not necessarily from childhood.
