Today's progress. The chassis is more or less done....with some issues. Instructions and fitment. The instructions are yet again vague in places, very vague. Suspension and steering-the steering arm moves when wheels are turned. It has to be fitted after you have fitted the springs #histscalemodels

Completed. Das Werk 1/16 Scale Sd.kfz. 234/2 Puma. This kit tested my patience not because it was a poor kit but because the instructions are wrong and misleading. From the start it gives you the option for expert or simple.version. hmm. There's a lot of work involved #histscalemodels

Some paint on the Puma. Going to let it dry a bit before I do some chipping. Not keen on leaving the paint to harden off too much. All the bits that can ping off will go on at the end. #histscalemodels

I was studying the engine bay of the Puma amd decided to knock an engine up , well sort of. It doesnt look bad, better than opening hatches with nothing to see..used a few bits off the old sprues spares. From a distance it does the job. #histscalemodels

Insides are done and turret completed. Still all needs gluing together. A couple of figures will be included in the finished model. The engine compartment is black and front crew section white. #histscalemodels

A bit more done, that's it for a few days, granddaughter is coming to stay. Added the black mesh, the slats showed to much of the inside. Small windows all fitted as well. The slats were a sod to do. They missed a trick with many parts of this kit to show more detail #histscalemodels

"It's alive" Right thats all the suspension and steering sorted on the 1/16 Puma. I've overcome all the not mentioned in the instructions part, just a couple of inaccurate parts a bit further along to sort. #histscalemodels

Lower suspension sorted. Just have to fix this to the lowwr hull and sort out the steering joints. It should have all wheel steering when done. #histscalemodels

So I spend hours doing the suspension arms ensuring they all move freely (Expert version) Once the wheel hub is fitted that moves but the suspension is static! The CV joint on the drive shaft makes it solid, no other way for it, pants. I spent all last nite sorting the instructions ffs.

1. This guy is next. I've had a looknat the instructions and wow vague to say the least. This has 2 ways to build expert and simple. Hmm. So as I look I can't see where they want parts with no glue so suspension can work etc. I went online to see what's there about it. #histscalemodels

Morning all. The Andy's Hobby 1/16 M10 IS Tank Destroyer is done. A nice kit overall to build. Some niggles with instructions, plenty of forward reading and dry fitting sorted it. Added figures and stowage and a few handmade detail bits. Tracks like many a pain in the backside #histscalemodels

Just added some bits inside the turret. A couple of old newspapers and playing cards left following a surprise attack and getting ready for a counter attack. Im still doing the tracks in between, just relieving the monotonous part of it. #histscalemodels
