Started watching some of One Step Beyond and ep2 has a woman with premonitions of the Titanic. Patrick Macnee is an unfortunate husband. They suggest the Titanic with one small deck space, a bedroom and a corridor.

#TheSweeney rewatch Thin Ice. Humorous tale from Troy Kennedy Martin as Jack's knowledge of Alfred Marks' weakness lets him outwit Peter Jeffrey. Haskins is more sympathetic to Jack than previously, possibly due to his success rate. Margaret Nolan has a thankless part as the girlfriend.

#TheSweeney rewatch Jackpot. Solid episode. Sally Faulkner is in a tiny role as WPC Bond. The big action sequence is held back to midway during an otherwise very talky episode. Half the episodes dialogue seems to be on The Sweeney music CD of a few years ago.

LotL is weakest part where the Doctor wastes months as Goebbels, everyone is in boiler suits with Monk paintings then at end the Monks departure makes everyone forget the giant statues. The Stasi bit could have been cut out and whole thing set a week later and make it slightly more plausible. 2/2

1/10/26 #DoctorWho rewatch The Pyramid at the End of the World / The Lie of the Land. The mid season clunkers after a strong run. The Doctor vulnerable is good but I never liked the President of Earth thing and it never makes a real story difference. Monks are generic baddies. 1/2

30/9/26 #DoctorWho rewatch Oxygen / Extremis. "Capitalism in space...A bottom line where human life has no value at all." The American computer voice was deliberate. Great sense of dangers of vacuum. Extremis is brilliant with the realisation of the situation and a great Pope gag with Bill.

29/9/26 #DoctorWho rewatch Thin Ice / Knock Knock. Ice is a great first trip in the past for Bill with a much warmer Doctor. Knock isn't as strong but its good to see Bill living her student life and the Doctor interacting with others. Suitably creepy early on with creaks and knocks.

It came to mind at the screening that Captain Blade must have been a pilot working for another airline unless the real Blade was an accountant or something. Maybe Chameleon Tours took over an existing business and did a rebound but more convincing than TG Jones.
