Just so you know, I am getting a huge number of banner ads to vote #National from overseas, including on Stuff.co.nz - They are at the top and side of screen. The vast money being pumped into this campaign should be questioned. #nzpol Those ads aren't cheap, but should papers be running them at all?

It's actually quite interesting to go back through the records the site has and look at how parties have moved over time, but that was sort of my original point, the Overton window has moved to the right.

It's not patently obvious what you find to be bullshit at all. If it's just 'everything', then that's either not very useful or thought through.

Sure, we can believe what we like in regards to the politics, I'm only talking about tactics. TOP getting in IS the last thing National want, whether they win or lose the election. National do not want another party in parliament taking votes off them, but it could be the best thing for NZ long term

There are only 26,000 multi-property landlords in NZ, but they control 80% of rented housing. They spent more on the last election than anyone else and benefitted to the tune of billions. They'll be doing the same this election.

The point I'm making is that if 4% of those TOP votes are from former National voters, then by lending 1% of the left vote to it, you're taking 4% off National. If those votes don't count, then you never took anything off National. National's greatest fear is that TOP get 5%.

I wouldn't be surprised to see tactical voting for TOP. I think they've taken votes off National in a way Labour couldn't and some lefties will lend them their vote to get them over 5%.

This is the most accurate analogy for US healthcare I've seen. I once tried to explain to a man complaining about what he paid for health insurance that universal healthcare in the UK worked pretty well, but he genuinely thought our hospitals must just be tents and then threatened me with a gun*Sigh

I got asked about my favourite #phone. I currently have a #pixel, I did think my first #iPhone was amazing, loved my #htcone, but thinking back.. my favourite was the #nokia 3100. It was really little, the keys weren't clicky and did what I needed it to. I'd love to live that way again.
