For the victims. My @smh @theage cartoon.
Single frame. Waterfront, beach, notionally Bondi. A woman with long grey hair in white dress, catching the breeze blowing offshore, leans towards the water to propel a small floating candle into the water, holding another in preparation, following a small flotilla of same, numbering 15 in total. A man in shorts and shirt stands by her side holding the empty tray.

I’m all for making Jewish Australians safer. It is their fundamental right to be safe and free from attacks. But what I am NOT for is allowing a radical, right-wing Zionist wish-list become policy in Australia because their voices (and donations) are the biggest.

Nesting offences. My @smh @theage cartoon.
Single frame. Man at table with Netanyahu, Israel flag behind. Man says “How’s the ceasefire holding.?” Netanyahu replies, “Well… it’s keeping the ongoing genocide off the front pages…which was a distraction from my judicial crackdown, which drew attention away from our brutal settlement expansion, which kept my corruption charges out of the public eye…”

Single frame. Barnaby exiting a room from which a leg kicks, a hand flipping the bird, another throwing a tomato, an akubra hat and a beetroot flying, and “BUGGER OFF!” and “GOOD RIDDANCE!” Barnaby in melodramatic pose looking back says “Don’t try to beg me - I’ve made up my mind.” In front of him, Pauline Hanson in burqa (dress, legs and high heels showing) arms outstretched, saying “COME TO MAMA!” - eclipsed by Gina Rinehart behind her, long white dress, same pose also saying “COME TO MAMA!”

One real sign the labour market is struggling - annual employment growth of 25-64yos (ie "prime aged workers") is just 1.3% - well below the 2015-19 avge of 2.1 (which tbh was not a period of strong growth)
