Prop 40 is a one (1) time, 5% tax in 2027 for California residents with a net worth of $1 billion or more. The money would primarily cover gaps in funding for MediCal, the state subsidized healthcare most of us rely on.

In the five years I reported my book, there was a palpable increase in outward expressions of misogyny among law enforcement. For example, this interaction. I think misogyny is an under-reported radicalization problem. The one thing militias, 2A groups, Claremont agree on is women are bitches.
he told me he was called to one domestic violence incident where he gave a man a cigarette to calm him down and avoid a violent encounter. In another tale, Leaf had successfully proven that a young woman’s accusation of domestic violence was untrue. The accused man avoided arrest.
“Did you arrest the woman?” I asked.
“Oh yes,” he said, “I charged her with a felony. Because she lied.”
