i've never broken a bone as a conscious person with memories, and dude this sucks so much. this is so fucking bad. i made myself indispensable to my department by taking on so many roles and now everything's gonna be so much harder for everyone for the next couple months

when you dislocate / break your ankle which is really fucking terrible for everything you do irl (work where you lift heavy equipment, schoolwork/teaching, gardening you wanted to do as an escape from work and school) BUT it means you can show up to more calls than you thought you'd be around for 🥹

the debate, then, isn't really about whether or not you like "pineapple on pizza." it's about whether or not you like hawaiian pizza specifically! i feel so much more strongly about the semantics here than i care about the debate itself LMAO

• jem • @jemstipher.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

here's something i keep thinking about. everyone always debates about pineapple on pizza, and they always make it so serious, too. HOWEVER: nobody ever considers how there's only one type of pizza you're actually putting the pineapple on! you never see pineapple on ANY pizza which isn't hawaiian!

grillby forgotten man is awesome because you could be in 2018 and come up with that, and then you're in 2026 and Really Shouldn't Still Be Coming Up With That by this point. i'm like 99% in therapist gaster's camp but 1% is unshakably still at the bar drinking a bottle of ketchup

my forgotten man identity possibilities: - his identity doesn't matter as much as the themes/messaging his character conveys (certain no matter what) - deltarune gaster who was kris' therapist and got smacked out of the timestream by undertale gaster (pretty likely?) - grillby (he can fry da egg)

the woman formerly known as "Nintendo GameCube"

drawings of a middle aged woman with a bob cut in a loosely worn business suit, looking rather jaded. her name is akari totaka (42 years old.) there are a few comic bubbles where she talks to someone offscreen:
"want to go to karaoke after work?"
"no thanks, i'm awful at singing."
"oh, but you don't have to be good-"
"tried it before. i don't find it fun."

"did you used to be an actor or something? your face looks so familiar..."
"not to my knowledge"
"i swear i've seen your face and voice before though..."
"you must have me mistaken for someone else."

said woman noticing displays for various nintendo game sequels in public and being surprised by them. specifically they are pikmin 4, metroid prime 4 beyond and kirby air riders. the last one upsets her in particular.

she shows off a tablet with a picture of her younger self dressed in an idol costume resembling the nintendo gamecube.
"this would have been around ah... 2004, probably? most miserable i'd ever been in my entire life."
another picture has her looking distraught sitting at a table.
"c? the gamecube didn't have a c button... did it?"
"no, it was a stick... maybe you're getting it mixed up with nintendo 64?"

as a music ed. major who's learned to play several woodwind instruments, my favorite part of the OoT remake is that the notes which aren't mapped to buttons might be playable through pressing multiple buttons at once instead of just up/down! it makes the ocarina more like how it'd actually be played

i've been feeling a strong urge lately to fully complete my throwbot/slizer collection, not only because it'd be cool to have them all, but also because i really want to know what it's like to wear those containers on my belt. i need to be stopped before i wear one of these during my senior recital
