as a music ed. major who's learned to play several woodwind instruments, my favorite part of the OoT remake is that the notes which aren't mapped to buttons might be playable through pressing multiple buttons at once instead of just up/down! it makes the ocarina more like how it'd actually be played

A screenshot from today's presentation, showing the mobile Ocarina player.

i've been feeling a strong urge lately to fully complete my throwbot/slizer collection, not only because it'd be cool to have them all, but also because i really want to know what it's like to wear those containers on my belt. i need to be stopped before i wear one of these during my senior recital

A person wearing Throwbot containers on their torso, waist, and legs via their nifty belt loop.

until just earlier, i was convinced noelle was wearing a tank top (or dress) and a choker in this concept art (and also that maybe her antlers were black for emo reasons). like as if this concept art is from after the game, when she tries to be more herself and experiments with her style

Concept art of Noelle Holiday from Deltarune.

i've been doing a lot of work for a festival my uni is hosting, so it was great to walk around at lunch and look at all sorts of plants!

Several clusters of light blue flowers growing on a green bush.

Some wispy bright magenta flowers growing on a hedge.

Tiny light green berries growing on a leafy branch.

the day after chapters 3+4 of deltarune released, i rode my bike to this one lake near where i used to live, and it was a really grounding experience. i'm gonna try to make it a tradition to go on a hike/bike ride there around each new chapter's release date!

a lake, with pine covered hills in the background and a rainbow lens flare.

a dirt path on the mountain. sunlight filters through tall trees.

Cute/cool flowers from yesterday's date! Hope you're all doing well

A passion flower! There are thick white petals on the bottom, very thin blue filaments above them, a purple center, and green filaments.

Yesterday I did a lot of biking to turn in employment forms, had a wonderful beach date, and my Pikmin walked so very far. Good gravy are you kidding me

Several flower bushes and one very large, spiky plant.

A message from Pikmin Bloom congratulating me for taking 20,592 steps!

Also, this is one of my main specific Undertale memories: I finished the pacifist route as a fire had been going on a bit north of me. Reaching this moment at a time when I felt so powerless didn't make me feel like I could stop it all, but it did heavily resonate with me in a way I can't forget.

A picture of my computer screen showing the moment at the end of UNDERTALE's pacifist route when Asriel says "Don't kill, and don't be killed, alright?"

The sun shines brightly through a very hazy sky. Tree branches frame it, as does a mountain.

I'm also majoring in music education, and have been feeling nervous about it due to the way culture in America seems to be shifting. However, these new chapters of Deltarune not only reassured me that there will always be good people, but it also showed me again how important a good teacher can be.

On the left, there is an icon of one of my oldest OCs, a blue crystal monster named Spyriax.

On the right, text reads: "I'm majoring in music composition, and UNDERTALE is a huge reason why. I cherish how earnest it is, and I so deeply want to make something which can help people like how it has."

if you have no horses in this race, let me be the first to tell you I'm super excited for the new lego ideas set based on different minerals, and also here's a slightly old pic of my mineral collection irl!

A lego set containing the following representations of minerals (clockwise from topleft: Pyrite, Amethyst Geode, Emerald, Black Tourmaline with Aquamarine, Rhodochrosite, and Orange Quartz.

Jem's mineral collection circa 2021. There is a three tiered lazy susan with various mineral types and fake candles in the center of each tier. Around the lazy susan are a set of larger minerals and fossils.

here's something else! this is a series of pixel art portraits I did from 2020-2021. each character is from the first dnd campaign I was ever in (my character, maple, is the tree lady)! I didn't have a lot of pixel art experience before this, so it was great to build skillz over that time

A collection of pixel art portraits of DnD characters. Clockwise from top: an armadillo guy with a scar over his eye, a lizard cowboy, an amphibian with ornate robes, a tree person with leaves for hair, a bird person with an arrow in their hair, an amphibian cleric with a lily on their head, a bird person with glasses, a yeti person with pink sunglasses. In the center is a three eyed demon with background colors pertaining to each of the other characters' backgrounds.

hello! I decided to finally get an account and start posting my art and music if it allows for that! I've been nervous to on The Other Site but everyone I know who's on here does cool stuff and I wanna be one of the people who does cool stuff. here's a painting I did last year to start!

five trees with dark blue trunks, bright blue veins, and leaves in warm colors stand in a field. the largest tree covers the rest, and appears to have wings made of clouds. the sky and clouds behind them are green.
