Garffeld Pt 14

3 panel comic of Garffeld: panel 1, Garffeld is crouched on a cushion while Jon is saying, "A poor, benighted creature was left at the door. I will tend to it till it is well."; panel 2, Jon holds up a small grey kitten and says, "This is Nergal."; panel 3, Garffeld flops his head down on the cushion, while thinking, "Wake me on judgement day."

The worst part about twitter is there are a number of people who think they have to be active there who are left-leaning but have had their brains absolutely cooked by the site. You can't inundate yourself in exposure to that stuff without it having an impact on you.

I love this so much. "Play the game exactly how you need to." I have often had to tap out of an action/RPG narrative game and read the rest of the plot online because I couldn't get past some of the encounters. So being able to experience the entire story in-game is always amazing.

From Remedy's page about Accessibility Settings in CONTROL Resonant.

The Intended Experience.

We talk a lot internally about designer intent. We do have a meticulously crafted, intended experience for CONTROL Resonant. It's balanced to be tense, demanding, and rewarding.

However, our philosophy is straightforward: if you run into a wall and the friction becomes too much, we would much rather you tweak the rules to overcome it than put the controller down and stop playing. Your time is valuable, and there’s no single right way to experience the game. Because of that, we absolutely do not gate any trophies or achievements behind these settings. Play the game exactly how you need to.

can we PLEASE bring back the word "poser" and stop using "larp" or "cosplay" - being a "poser" or "faking" being into something is lazy and disingenuous whereas cosplayers and actual larpers are passionate about their hobbies and out a lot of time and effort into them
