Purchased some $1 comic books today, a great many of them

Some comics! Just a selection: Emperor Doom Marvel Graphic Novel, a beat to hell copy of the Spectacular Spider-Man Magazine number one, an issue of Crazy!, some 1970s Fantastic Four (trying to get all of 160-195), some early Marvel Two-in-One (have almost all of them, except for the first year or two), bunch of Denny O'Neil/Luke McDonnell Iron Man (i.e. the ones where Rhodey took over), some Erik Larsen Amazing Spider-Man, a cool G.I. Joe cover with Snake Eyes and Scarlett, and the X-Force/Champions 1998 Annual (which marks.the completion of my o.g. X-Force collection).

More comics: Lots and lots of Avengers -- I think nearly.fifty of them all told -- including the notorious issue 200 plus others in the 170s through the early 200s, by Jim Shooter, George Pérez, John Byrne, etc., and then a complete set of the 90s Gathering storyline by Bob Harras and Steve Epting, which is solid comics (and many of them have shiny, embossed gimmick covers)

The short box the comics came in sits on the table while a cat investigates (even though I told her she's not allowed on the table)
