I think that the tendency of bad faith actors to take over left spaces has more to do with how much of our theorization is shallow stand up routines. In community spaces you have unrealistic goals (urban ag fixing poverty, a bar will fix lack of 3rd spaces) and then it falls to a narcissist

Part of the problem is that for all people say universities are incubators for Marxism Leninism youre often going to learn about socialism as a closed book, an unnuanced theory surpassed by other theories. And so the vast history of socialism is ignored in favor of, im sorry, US trivialia.

On this day in 1935, the American Federation of Labor officially chartered the UAW in Detroit, Michigan. Prior to the dues checkoff system, union members would receive a button every time they paid their dues. This showed that they were current in their dues and was a visual display of solidarity.
