If you're happy with the undermining of the law, with the corruption, with the continued move of wealth to those already wealthy, being friends with Putin, with the US being the laughing stock of the world, then vote republican. Of course if you're brain dead, none of this matters to you anyway.

This could be fixed by raising the Social Security taxable maximum. Currently, every dollar earned above $184,500 is exempt from Social Security taxes. Change that, and Social Security stays solvent forever. But Congress is beholden to billionaires and won't fix it. #EconSky bit.ly/4heHXUG

Setting another record, the US national average price of diesel just crossed $6 a gallon (AAA table). While less visible to many than the gas we put in our cars, diesel is a critical economic input. It fuels the trucks, cargo trains, and farm equipment that produce/transport much of what we consume.

Reading of the tea leaves over the years leads to the conclusion that it is republican policy, wrt the deficit, to vastly over-spend government revenues on choice initiates (tax reductions, defense) to the extent that the debt reaches such a level where the US can no longer fund its social programs.

Where are all the '28 Democratic hopefuls? ICE is killing people in some cases indiscriminately without lawful reason and no regard for their rights. Hopefuls need to make it clear that even though 'consequences' may be few and far between under this administration they have to worry about the next.

I was at one time responsible for the implementation of an automated guided vehicle system into an automotive plant. As expected the workforce was dead set against it (UAW) and (unproven) sabotage was a result. I await the same sort of developments coincident with the implementation of robo-taxis.
