this is actually why i pulled the ejection handle on the ant ecosystem ~when opus 5 dropped. i’ve only recently had the patience to go back and lobotomize all the insane things that got written into markdown files and memories that were getting loaded into every context window

you know what's really useful when managing a bunch of agents is the compulsion to switch between tabs and the ability to read real fast

Everything becoming art is my secret AI thesis. You’re telling me you want to focus on putting care into a specific element of your craft without regard for its productivity or ROI? That amazing, let’s get you some healthcare about it.

The best sports app ever did this beautifully by ingesting play-by-play data and calculating live excitement scores to notify you at some threshold It was acquired for the underlying tech and shut down in 2020. RIP Thuuz 😢

This thread is insightful, but it’s a little funny that we’ve landed on building software by shipping functional increments and iterating quickly based on feedback All we need is a pithy name and some kind of manifesto

If your servers are compromised by a group of agents, don’t say “we are under attack.” Attack implies intent. Instead say, “computer programs are emitting tokens that, when executed by other programs, are causing network requests that are currently pwning my shit”

I understand the complaints about AI on bsky but there's a legitimate question on why "ai discussion on bsky where there's starter packs and anti-ai blocklists are available" is too hard but "ai discussion on a site flooded with actual nazis" isn't.

AI routing isn’t the easiest problem, but it’s wild that LiteLLM is still the main open source option given how poorly built (and apparently maintained) it is Any of these companies could easily spare the dev budget to build their own router

Stephen Miller said just the other day that all asylum claims are "fake." A couple deported from the U.S. to Guatemala were gagged, bound, and shot dead. Their 14-month old found crying next to their mother's body. People like Miller don't care though because this is the point: ethnic cleansing.

Begging academics to include methodology with their twenty post "I tested an LLM and this is how it failed" threads, I just saw a huge thread on how they fail at summarizing literature and it turns out the author wasn't actually providing the text, just asking it for summaries based on training data

Avoiding the work Claude subscription is becoming a losing battle in the subsidy era 😪 It doesn’t help that open source has a huge enterprise distribution problem: GLM 5.2 is available on GCP but not Azure, Deepseek v4 is available on Azure but not GCP, and neither are available on Bedrock.

Before we spend the next week glazing the Pope, remember that the Church had carried out one of the most violent policy changes against trans people this year by ending gender-affirming care at Catholic hospitals serving 1 in 7 of all US patients
A minimalist gray poster from “MAGNIFICA HUMANITAS” featuring a large centered serif quote in black text. The quote reads: “This closeness does not stem from an intent to supplant civil institutions, much less from an implicit criticism of their work. Rather, it stems from evangelical charity, which impels the Church to draw near to the wounds of humanity whenever they surface with greater severity.” The text “vatican.va” appears in small type at the bottom left.
