J.D. Hansel @jd11pc.bsky.social · 11/09/2026So apparently on the set of ‘The Muppet Show’ the cameraman befriended the sound technician and then they started making music together and then they produced “True” for Spandau Ballet 020
J.D. Hansel @jd11pc.bsky.social · 31/07/2026I wrote a little piece about the death of the Muppet feature. 030
J.D. Hansel @jd11pc.bsky.social · 21/06/2026Every once in a while I suddenly become aware of how many animals surround us everywhere. I’m in a Zootopia and I didn’t even knowpia 063
J.D. Hansel @jd11pc.bsky.social · 04/06/2026I had a film professor who always took an abundance of caution when he voiced his opinions to ensure all students felt comfortable sharing their own, with one exception. Before screening Persepolis he said, “If you don’t like this movie, I don’t like *you*.” By gosh, was it good. 030
J.D. Hansel @jd11pc.bsky.social · 08/04/2026I would very much like to use a reverse image search engine that doesn't run on AI, but that doesn't seem to be a thing anymore, so now I don't know what to do. 140
J.D. Hansel @jd11pc.bsky.social · 29/03/2026What’s a recent film I can watch at home without missing much from the theatrical experience? (Only looking for serious, grown up movies, not silly comedies or family films this time.) 1450

J.D. Hansel @jd11pc.bsky.social · 22/03/2026Today I finished reading 'The Disney Revolt' by Jake S. Friedman. By gosh. If you only read one book on animation history, read this one. It's not just informative - the further in you get, the more it becomes a gripping thriller. 0193
J.D. Hansel @jd11pc.bsky.social · 05/03/2026It stinks that all the interesting stuff happened in the past. I need everyone and everything to stop being boring right now! 010
