Tiny little mushroom growing in the moss. Love how the tiniest ones are often translucent. #fungifriends #forestfloor #fungi #mushrooms

I saw these along the trail and was intrigued. They are parasitized and look like fuzzy little hats.

Tall spindly mushrooms growing in pine duff with white fungal threads growing on the cap.

I think those are more frequently called a strap-on in the vernacular.

I've been travelling a bunch (to cold places with no mushrooms) but did my first mushroom hike on Mt Tam in a while. Lots of rain but not a ton of mushrooms. I did like this little one though. #fungifriends #forestfloor #fungi #mushrooms

Some sort of Polypore growing in redwood duff. I love how the top looks like a landscape of the American southwest. #fungifriends #forestfloor #fungi #mushrooms

an overhead view of part of the cap of a mushroom that is past it's prime and which looks like a weathered sandstone landscape.

Yes. Even when it seems like there are not many out there are usually small ones under logs or other places that are wet enough.

Lamproderma scintillans Finally got a chance to break in the new camera in the field with a bunch of pros: Alison, Krissa, Francois, Bruce, and Mathias. Haven’t bought a camera in 10 years a big jump for me to go mirror less. So far liking the switch to the OM-1 system. 15 frame on camera stack.
