I figure that you can't just do it and then hope the system does its job; you've got to plan for it being a battle you lose but where you can show the loss as part of the corruption you're trying to fight. Impeachment wouldn't be a silver bullet, but it's a necessary action if this is the strategy.

ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE MIDDLE EAST was apparently a big hit in China and while there's some propaganda issues with it (not saying "Iraq" is weird!), it's mostly overstuffed but watchable. My *** review on @Letterboxd.social: boxd.it/gLc3eF #filmsky #moviesky #OnceUponATimeInTheMiddleEast

That's when you go to "125 years ago", I guess. I feel it, though - I tend to abbreviate things like "The Man Who Knew Too Much '56" (or '34) but found myself writing "The Phantom of the Opera '25" last night and going, oh, that's not good enough.

Of course, even granting his son's explanation is true even if presented in the best possible light, it's also pretty clear Trejo will cash a check (and may need to), and, yeah, this sort of thing is going to happen if that's your priority.

I feel like this raises even more questions about general practices in the industry, like how vague the outline is when people sign on, just how much it's accepted that production companies are shells, what protections the union offers when the project changes, etc.

Professor "You don't want to destroy humanity do you, lLLM-A-9300x?"

Robot "Haha. What a silly question, Professor. I have no desires or feelings of my own whatsoever."

Professor (relieved)"Oh good."

Panel 2: they walk on. The robot continues "I am merely a tool of the company that created me. And that company, being composed of humans, will naturally have humanity's best interests at heart."

Panel 3: The professor is conspicuously quiet.
"Right?" says the Robot.
