If this isn’t the start of a 30-year Trump family reign maybe it’s a good idea to change things so that the whole system doesn’t hinge on honor, shame, and norms because the exact people who lack honor and shame don’t care at all about norms

I think any story about Trump's autocracy should be mostly about the people and institutions who failed to stop it. This guy isn't a political genius, everything else just happens to be rotten. 'Toddler Consolidates Power In Household' is a story about incompetent parents, not shrewd maneuvering

The Democrats are the Washington Generals to the GOP’s Globetrotters. They get paid to show up and get dunked on. They hate their own voters way more than they hate Trump, and they can fundraise on being the only opposition to Trump while shrugging that they can’t do anything.

Crazy that the US gov got on Bluesky literally just to troll. The only way to “win” against a narcissist is to remove the attention. Anything else gives them what they want.

In the 2010s, this country's elites were thrown onto social platforms with everyone else and could finally read what we all think about them and it caused them so much psychic damage that they decided to destroy both the internet and democracy to make sure nothing like it ever happened again.

SpongeBob would absolutely be radicalized by Patrick. Mr Krabs is the business owner who looks the other way because fascism makes him rich. Squidward and Sandy would be the only real resistance, Sandy because it’s right and Squidward because he’s a born contrarian.

Two stick-figure characters talk. The younger one asks if the older remembers life before the internet. The older replies that it was “so boring,” just sitting there all the time, “the worst.” When the younger suggests it might have been more fulfilling, the older shuts it down—“wasn’t worth it”—and insists that while people still get bored now, “not like we did.”

We expect that Trump will usher in a new golden era for America. That's why we're dressed the way we are. This is the beginning of the Roaring Twenties 2.0. You're going to see so much economic prosperity, the cost of energy going down, while American hegemony increases dramatically. It's very hopeful right now - way more than his first term. There's been a lot of lessons learned.

A series of three screenshots from the film "Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade", from the humorous scene where Indy is telling the bad guys that Marcus Brody is multitalented, only to cut to Brody bumbling his way through a crowd.

The following captions are below each panel

1. Showing Indy and his father: "Millennials - Generation Alpha are digital natives. They've grown up already using every technology you had to adapt to."

2. A close up on Indy, his father still in the background:
"They know every smartphone, watch 3 screens at once, spend 10 hours a day online. With any luck, they've got the tech skills we need already."

3. Showing Marcus Brody in a crowd of seemingly Middle Eastern people:
"Gen Alpha - Does anyone here know what a c drive is? Is itanapp?"
