As a long-time player of a Ghoulcaller Gisa deck, I have to say I'm more than a little bit confused by the Wretched Ranks decklist. Don't get me wrong, it looks like a solid and fun zombie deck with some quality reprints, but it's really just a zombie deck with Gisa helming it, not a Gisa deck...

Oh, I also REALLY hate its face/expression. It looks so... angry? mean? aggressive? A sphinx is a creature of intellect, of fascination, of secrets and the obscure. The Ur-Sphinx should reflect that. Even in a moment of violence, I would picture such a being looking impassive.

I think the card is neat and allows for a more proper Sphinx Kindred deck. It hits almost every sphinx printed and is a fun inversion of the Ur-Dragon. I'm not a fan of the card-theft trigger, per se, but I get that it's an inversion of the UD trigger. I just don't think it feels sphinx-y.

A confession.

As a trans creator it's always been important to me to share opportunities with others.

Be it linking cool people together, inviting people to attend events with me as a plus 1, or just have them be a guest on things I'm doing. Trying to uplift others and "make cool sh*t happen". It's what I live for.

So having been in content creation for 10 years it always surprises me how little I get invited to collaborations.

I wish I was invited to more stuff. I've always felt like an outsider and it doesn't help to feel forgotten. Like I'm making no impact.

Maybe I'm too aloof? Too intimidating? I just want to feel like I'm wanted sometimes.
