Hello, John Holmes. I came to see you, today. Not at your grave, deep in Shap loam, but here, at your home as the waters shrank. I stood on the cobbles of the path you walked. Stopped at the midden and tried to find a sherd that felt like yours. I watched the sun set with you, over Harter Fell.

Jane! What did you do today? Hi, well someone on a reel said they were "gay famous" and so I went to the comments and wrote "Gaymous!" and now I'm tired.

I support university students who have ADHD. During the meds shortage: chaos. Missed appointments, late essays, frustration as they tried so hard and found it ten times harder. Lots of tears. As it went on, depression, anxiety. Meds arent a cure but they make life manageable for so many people.

I think this is the first time a British politican has used this absurd and repellent concept, developed by Canadian academic Gad Saad, which has been swilling around the far right ecosystem for quite a while.

Cockpit stone circle is a scheduled monument. There is archaeology under the surface, and there is peat that doesn't need disturbing. I'm never one to follow a pointless rule. Whatever your belief system, this is illegal for really good reasons.

Let's face it: this wasn't even the biggest scandal *at Cambridge University*. Yet the much bigger story, exposed by Byline Times, has scarcely been picked up anywhere. Of course, that involved white, radical-rightwing professors, so nothing to see here. bsky.app/profile/geor...

Last night I drank a whisky and made a model. I was listening to music and grief has numbed me for six months, but music strips that away. A folk singer told her lost mother what it was like without her, and for a little while, I could feel again. And it hurt. My whole body felt it.

Oh did a female academic with an extensive history of study and practice in a particular area of literature make a reasoned critique of a male filmmaker’s movie? I’m sure this will be handled with maximum normality.

Today is a bad EDS day. My hips and feet hurt a lot and I didn't get to walk. So here's one from Calderdale.
Very dark, cloudy image. There is cow parsley in the foreground, and a drystone wall. Next, close behind, a wooden fence and a dark green field. Trees and hills rise in the distance, lit by beams of fleeting light.

See this little hollow? Its brilliant. There's a wasps nest in the ground just to the left (you'll have to believe me, they were quite annoyed). Its in a badger run, so one evening, a badger spotted the entrance, had a little dig, got stung to hell, and buggered off. All written in a little hole.
A patch of woodland soil, where a small hole has been dug out, exposing roots, and some furious stripy assholes.

All I'm saying is, that phallus impudicus are fruiting. And if you see one lying uprooted, before you excitedly pick it up and yell "HEY PHALLUS, ALREADY!", remember that the smell isn't just the cap, or you'll spend your day smelling like a decomposing bigfoot.
A whole, beautiful, rancid stinkhorn. Its stipe is bright white, shot through with holes like a sponge. Its cap is dark brown, slimy, conical. This one wears the remains of the egg it grew from like a jaunty hat.

Hello. I saw something bloody lovely today and now you have too.
There is a deep knot hole in a tree, dappled light falling across the bark. Ivy climbs up on the left of the image. In the hole, a female squirrel looks out and up and her partner, who is messing about in the ivy. She either has babies or very soon will. She has beautiful, dark little eyes. A closer image of her. She has become used to me and began reclining against the back of her drey. She has one paw resting at her chest, one supports her against the tree. She looks out at me while the male is busy in the tree above. Dappled light falls across them. A closer image. She peers out, directly at the camera, well camouflaged against the fawn bark of the tree.
