100% & up as demand wanes

Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 19h
Yeah I do understand, I also think the threat of removing it is good for demand as well 😅 Lots of home owners I speak to are aware that it won't last forever at this generous a level

I think if someone has to wait 6 months and then the install is not good there's over-demand. Just a supply and demand question. Currently we need to juice the supply of installers with some v good training

I think it's a new tendancy, stemming from Kier and Andy B needs to stamp it out

100% agree with this, it needs to be responsive to demand

Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 19h
My impression locally to us is that HP installers are swamped with requests currently, driven by BUS. I think the grant might currently be creating over-demand. I feel sure that money could be better spent if it was better prioritised.

It's the same problem that America's missile defence has anyway. If you have 5 interceptors they will fire 6 missiles. I can't imagine the scenario they're useful in. An enemy who quite wants to bomb us, but not very much

It won't win votes & it wasn't passed with how many votes the party will win in mind. Worse, it's counterproductive to the conflict & it's racist in itself.

I guess I meant the Jewish community in Israel/Palestine which is the one that matters.
100
Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
The policy calls for getting rid of Israel, the Jewish state
100
Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
I do not think that conflict was resolved by outsiders calling one side fundamentally racist 🤷
000
Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
I do not think pushing a solution unacceptable to the Jewish community is useful pressure. It's just self-righteous posturing

Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Allora. I do not believe there is that common ground and I think there's 50 years of history to prove it
100
Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Did they make peace by advocating that one side is right and the other is evil? 😅 I can't see any evidence of how these two communities could possibly be United. Or frankly, why they should be
100
Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
And who's going to make that happen exactly?
200
Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
But that's not what the Muslims in Palestine want... It's just an insane thing to advocate for in the context.
100
Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
I would love to see evidence of that attitude in Jewish or Muslim communities in Palestine if you have any! There's a reason this conflict has been going on form 100 years and there's a reason there isn't a Jewish population in any Arab state nearby...
100
Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
No, there are solutions and we've come very close in the past to enacting then. Extremists on both sides have wrecked it every time. Picking one side is just unhelpful. Proposing something impossible is unhelpful
200
Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
There are two people/communities who've been fighting over the same land for 100 years Zionists say it should all be Jewish. You're saying it should all be Palestinian.... I don't see the difference.
100
Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
But that's not what anyone on either side wants...? And the impossibility of it is just ridiculous. For so many reasons
200
Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Only upside is that it's spurred a lot of investment in alternatives.

Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Not-Anodyne ≠ Stupid I also don't see how pushing for a single Palestinian state is any less racist than a Jewish State. Opposite side of the same coin

Yeah and I'd like Tibet to be independent and Russia to become a democracy. So what? It's all just words and the cost is the parties credibility. Half baked

OK, where in that quote does it mention effectiveness? It's silly, he was a minister who made big decisions & had a huge impact on the UK. Then he was a protester and....didn't. The greens have made the same decision

Jamie Risner @jamierisner.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Yeah, he wasn't in government any more... to argue that he was more effective campaigning than when he was a Minister is silly

Let me try this once more. It was a choice. EITHER the Greens adopted a slogan. OR they could have joined the next govt, where they could push for an end to arms sales, sanctions, support for the arrest warrants etc. It was never going to be both. Which one makes a material difference? #GazaGenocide

This mindset is the least we deserve from a leader. Of course it has to be turned into action. But this kind of ambition and love for the country, this kind of personal but positive vision is what takes people with you. How feeble-minded Farage and Badenoch seem. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
Photo of Burnham waving to the audience in front of HOPE AGAIN backdrop Burnham was not going to die wondering. He knew he might be delivering one of the longest suicide notes in history, but he did it anyway. Because he couldn't not do it. Better to go down remaining true to his principles than being slowly airbrushed out of history like the previous six prime ministers. Failures all. Andy was prepared to burn through all his political capital right there in Liverpool, right then. Not just for his own legacy but for a country he wanted to rebuild. It was the only way he could look himself in the mirror.
Honour his parents.
