It's clear there's a serious problem when women are waiting 17 months to get a mammogram. That's almost a year and a half of stress and delay when early detection means more lives saved and better treatment outcomes.

The NS Department of Natural Resources is advising residents about the danger of using drones in a wildfire area. Do not operate drones in a wildfire area. It is illegal. It can interfere with our firefighting efforts. The fine is $25,000 under the Forests Act.

A coordinated multi-agency response is currently in progress to combat a rapidly spreading forest fire located northwest of downtown Halifax. The fire's progression is outpacing containment efforts, with potential threats to roadways, propane tanks, and commercial properties. Crowning is being observed.
Residents in the vicinity are strongly advised to monitor official communications for further updates and instructions. Road closures are being implemented to restrict access to the area. The public is urged to avoid the affected region.
Air support will be arriving soon.

Hey #Halifax #nspoli - I got 40% of the vote when I lost to the incumbent Liberal MP in 2021, compared to the CPC’s 12%. There’s no strategic reason to vote for your 2nd choice if you value the role of the #NDP in our democracy
