I'm watching Nadia, and really the least realistic thing is these bad guys not taking off their weird hoods no matter what the presumed heat or humidity levels are.

A bunch of people in double-breasted military coasts, gloves, and some unfortunate pointy hoods with masks on the front. The leader's coat has a suit and tie style opening and is red; everyone else is in green with white bandoliers. I bet they would faint if they tried standing in line for Summer Comiket; they look unprepared for heat.

I don't know that the recording exists anymore, but I was in a cover band that did a bilingual cover of Utada Hikaru's "Sanctuary"/"Passion," and even now, a decade+ later, I can't hear either song without both sets of lyrics playing in my head.

Okay~ I moved my DNS nameservers and set up a new VPS on a different host, so now I just need to migrate content, switch where my DNS records point, and then I can kill my DigitalOcean subscription...! I'm all in on Akamai now, unless they, too, lose their minds.

Ah yes, the part of illness recovery where I can either be horizontal and very briefly sleep or be vertical and keep breathing but not both at once, because to lay down is to cough. To die, to sleep. To sleep, perchance to drown.

I have a secondary ear (and eye) infection from this chest cold, which prompted me to actually see a damn doctor, cost be damned, and so I've finally trekked out to my doctor's office and am going to acquire medicine soon. I cannot currently yawn, hiccup, or chew without extreme ear pain, hooray… 🙃

I dislike calling out of work. At this point, my last two direct messages to my direct report are, back to back, almost exactly a month apart, me calling out sick. Ugh. I don't want to go in and get my coworkers sick by breathing near them, but when I'm *mostly functional*, I'd rather just go in...

I have a chest cold and came down with a high fever last night. (It broke overnight though! I'm much better now.) As a result, I ended up ordering groceries rather than risk driving while out of it, but I really hate losing out on the opportunity to look at all the foods and talk with the staff.

Gemini suggesting I might want a summary of CCA. Other suggested queries include "What is a Mobile Suit?" and "Who are the main rivals?"

I have been trying to figure out why I don't recognize a single thing from this "Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki" box set I found at BookOff with its obvious mid-2000s digital animation, and it turns out there are like four OVA series with the same title.
