Just reviewed the rear-view footage and saw that just moments earlier the driver turned on to the street on the wrong side of the traffic island, because I guess being on the correct side of the road would take too long or something. Fuck these gender affirming vehicles and the wankers driving them.

Must get in front! encounter with a wankpanzer driver encountering oncoming traffic. I guess he had serious business at the Legion, because he sure was in a hurry to get there. Included my speed in the video overlay to show that I'm not exactly dogging it either. #MGIF #bikecommuting

Hi, my name is Lyra Evans, and I’m running for city council in Rideau-Vanier! Due to the importance of social media as a means of communication, for the duration of the campaign I will be reviving some erstwhile dormant social media accounts to provide updates and take questions from the public.

Just Ms.Rachel spreading Ed Sheeran for filth
If more than 20,000 white children were killed in another part of the world, everyone would be shouting about it at their concerts. Treating some children’s lives as less worthy of outrage is racist. Silence during a genocide is not neutral.

Since this person has been blocking everyone who QRTs her, I'm keeping this out for context. This is a personal grievance take. This woman has most likely had dozens of close calls with cars that she just writes off, but the bikes are the danger. Personal bias, not data is driving this.
Luckily for cyclists, nobody collects data on injuries and mayhem they cause to pedestrians. Life has gotten worse for us with cycling's rise. But nobody talks about that. You certainly can't engage cyclists on the subject, only they suffer. Drivers are regulated, trustworthy. Cyclists must be, too.

NDP in my inbox vs. NDP when in power: (www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...)
Portion of an email from the info@ndp.ca account that reads: "Before Parliament returns later this month, I want to update you on a fight that is vital to Canadian workers.

Defending the right to strike.

Canadian workers fought hard to win the constitutional right to strike. This right gives everyone the ability to stand up against unfair wages and unsafe working conditions. But right now, that right is being taken away from workers, over and over again.

The Liberals have violated the right to strike 8 times in the last two years alone using section 107 of the Canadian Labour Code. This section lets them tip the scales in favour of corporations and force striking workers back on the job without a fair deal."Screenshot of a post from the r/NDP sub-Reddit with the title "Kinew’s NDP orders striking health workers back to work," it links to https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/dynacare-labour-board-essential-workers-hearing-9.7335840

This is one of the most disgusting and racist things I've ever seen. The right in Canada are selling dead Indigenous children t-shirts that promote genocide denial. Children's bones have been dug up at this point but it's never enough for them.
Here’s the pitch, more or less: shirts that tell Canadians to “dig deeper,” to demand “evidence” before believing First Nations, journalists, or anyone else who talks about unmarked graves — because, in their telling, those claims “shame” the nation and are being used to justify a national holiday. They frame it as a free-speech stand. Tired of being told what you’re allowed to question, they say. Make your voice heard.
