Private Eye:
London Fascist
Week begins
YES, it's that time again when the Fascism scene returns to London and this year black is very much in vogue.
Our models are sporting trademark black shirts twinned with black shorts and the very latest in balaclava chic.
The models sashayed through
London to the Daily Mail offices where they showed off the best of British Fascism for the World to see. A leading Fascism designer says, "You'll see this great new totally unthreatening look everywhere - Portsmouth, Dover, London. It's coming to a town near you soon, and we know where you live!"

Availability of jobs for 18-24 year olds is in the bottom 10% of the country in Brighton and Hove. A city that for decades has been the goto place for the young. A university city whose culture and direction used to by driven significantly by young adults. I fear for this city and my kids.

Australia gov have done some pretty dumb things regarding social media. This is not one of them. Control the flow of information to a person and you have power over them. We allow these companies too much leeway, and barely punish them when they go further. www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

"Rather than defeat Reform in a battle of ideas, the political and media class wants them defeated through the law." You see, I quite like "we should not allow dark money to infect our politics and corrode our democracy" as an idea. But that includes the Koch brothers funding pretend-journalism.

What is happening to Reform UK right now, from a legal perspective, is alarming. Reform is the breakout party of the moment. A party that has come from nothing to threaten the exhausted duopoly that has long dominated UK politics. Now, rather than defeat Reform in a battle of ideas, it appears that there is a solid constituency within the political and media class that wants them defeated through the law.

If they start talking about "affordable homes" we know they will have given up entirely. The "affordable homes" scheme in the UK results in tenants paying more per month and receiving less in equity. With numeric reqs, that discourage building normal sized houses and some land never being developed.

Andy Burnham is the first PM I've heard in my 46 years, that appears to have vocalised an actual vision. No sound bites, or beuocratic manifesto. Just actual vision. If he succeeded, I'm going to blame our electorial system, for, mostly, putting the wrong people in charge.

Burnham is a wrongun. Anyone who puts milk first is a wrongun. It clogs the bags and makes the tea taste like a cheap tea flavoured milk dud. Me? As little milk as is possible, and preferably a lemon slice. You will be judged harshly, if you ruin your 'erb infusion with cow secretions.

I see Ann Widdecombe has died. When she was Home Secretary I showed her round Drake Hall womens’s prison. There was a pregnant woman on a bed in the early stages of Labour and she asked the prison officers why she wasn’t handcuffed to the bed. That’s the kind of woman she was.
