3 women 👩🏻👩🏼👩🏽 have been killed in the last 24 hours in NSW by male violence as reported by The Age. I have had enough. All men should have had enough. If 3 men had died in 24 hours from one punch or acts of terrorism the nation would be in arms. Our politicians would be everywhere condemning this.

Things that don't "pop up" around the country, but should: - local community input into massive new developments - high-quality public school buildings - efficient public transport - well-designed community spaces - shelters for everyone who is homeless - enough public housing so no-one is homeless

All civilian deaths are tragic, but we're getting a real sense of whose lives are valued more. If The Australian had run this story for Gaza it would have had to do it more than 8,000 times. Never mind one for the around 150 children killed in a Tehran school just this week...
Story on The Australian front page:

Israel’s deadliest day: Nine die in public shelter in Beit Shemesh struck by Iranian missile
Volunteer medic Ronit Elimelech rushed her elderly mother and three children to the shelter as sirens wailed, instinctively grabbing her vest and the medical equipment she’d used to save countless lives. It wasn’t enough to save her own.

🔴 Gaza | February 21, 2026

Two Palestinians were killed and four wounded Saturday as Israeli forces continued attacks across Gaza for the 133rd consecutive day of ceasefire violations, according to the Palestinian Information Center.

▪️Osama an-Najjar, 46, was killed by an Israeli drone strike in Qizan an-Najjar, south of Khan Younis.
▪️In Jabalia refugee camp, Majed Abul-Awf was killed when a drone dropped a bomb.
▪️A young woman was shot in the neck near the Holy Family Church east of Gaza City, and three others were wounded by gunfire in Shuja’iya.

Israeli armored vehicles opened fire east of Khan Younis and north of Gaza City, with artillery hitting al-Tuffah. Warplanes struck east of Khan Younis and gunboats shelled the coast. On Friday, a man was killed when a quadcopter bombed his tent, and a child was shot in Halawa camp.

🎥 WATCH | FIFA is bringing “the greatest stars in the world" to Gaza, President Trump said at the first meeting of the Bosrd of Peace today. FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced a major partnership between FIFA and the Board of Peace, with FIFA committing to raising or spending $75 million for soccer-related projects in Gaza.

📌 Key details include:

▪️National Stadium: A $50 million flagship national football stadium with a capacity of 20,000 to 25,000 spectators.

▪️FIFA Academy: A $15 million dedicated academy to train future talent.

▪️New Pitches: Construction of 50 "FIFA Arena" mini-pitches and five full-sized pitches, totaling $7.5 million.

▪️Deployment of "Stars": The plan involves bringing "the greatest stars in the world"—FIFA Legends—to the territory to interact with the local community and attract further international investment.

No foreign journalists have been allowed into Gaza since Israel began its genocidal campaign in October 2023. Some 2 million Palestinians lack proper shelter as Israel continues to deliberately block supplies. Hundreds of thousands of young children are missing their third straight year of education because Israel has systematically bombed and destroyed nearly every school and university.

But of course as we know, laws are never applied equally and this is especially clear when it comes to terrorism.
Fun fact: it's been reported that Anti-Semitism Envoy Jillian Segal's family trust is one of the largest donors of the racist Advance group. Of course we all know that laws are not applied equally. Just look at this man who brazenly threw a bomb at a public rally, who has not been charged with terrorism. Last year, a 17-year-old white guy breached security at Avalon Airport in Melbourne and stormed onto a plane with a shotgun, a knife, a Molotov cocktail and a fake bomb, attempting to hijack it. He has not been charged with terrorism, and what's more, prosecutors have repeatedly had court suppression orders supplied to prevent media from discussing his links to "foreign entities". In 2024, a Zionist put a bomb on an Australian man's ute which had the Palestinian flag on it with an explicit threat to stop displaying it or he would be killed. This man was not charged with terrorism either, and received 3-months-non parole of a 12-month sentence. In the same year, a Muslim teenager stabbed a priest non-fatally and was charged with terrorism within hours.
This charge carries a life imprisonment sentence.

🔴 Two more children die of hypothermia in Gaza as the US and Israel deliberately block shelter aid stockpiled at the border.

A six-month-old girl, Shatha Abu Jarad, died Tuesday from exposure to extreme cold, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported. Her death follows that of a 27-day-old infant on Saturday, bringing the number of children who have died of hypothermia in Gaza this winter to 9.

Another storm is forecast to hit Gaza. The Palestinian Meteorological Department has warned that a polar air mass will bring frost and freezing conditions Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, WAFA reported, further worsening conditions for hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians forced to shelter in tents that provide little protection from the cold.

Gaza’s Government Media Office says 127,000 of the enclave’s 135,000 tents have been rendered unusable by recent storms. Israel and the United States continue to block the entry of new tents and all mobile homes.

🚨Seven-month-old Shatha Abu Jarad died this morning due to the severe drop in temperatures in Gaza, Palestinian Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal said, stressing that her death was caused by cold, not illness. He warned that thousands of children remain at serious risk as the Israeli occupation, backed by the United States, continues to block the entry of caravans, safe shelters, heating supplies, and sustainable construction materials, forcing families to survive winter inside torn tents with no protection. Basal said these are preventable deaths, calling for immediate international action before more children lose their lives.

The boy says his infant brother kept shivering from the cold. He was shivering all night until he died this morning.

He said he’s always cold too.

It is because the United States and Israel are blocking shelter aid for 1.3 million displaced Palestinians, stockpiled in UN trucks just a few hundred meters from Gaza’s border.

All the aid is there. It is not allowed in. And Palestinian children keep freezing to death.

🚨A one-week-old infant, Mahmoud Al-Aqra, died in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza after succumbing to extreme cold as freezing temperatures swept the Strip over the past hours. His death comes amid a total Israeli occupation block on shelter and a severe lack of heating, as families shelter in tents that offer no protection from winter weather. Humanitarian organizations warn that more deaths are likely as cold fronts continue and no urgent measures are taken to protect displaced families and children living in makeshift shelters.

❗️In less than 24 hours, Israeli occupation forces have committed multiple crimes against unarmed civilians in both southern and northern Gaza by targeting homes and tents sheltering displaced families, killing seven people, including five children, the youngest just five years old, in a clear violation of the ceasefire, according to Palestinian Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal.

He stressed that the deliberate targeting of civilians and displacement shelters constitutes a grave crime and a blatant breach of international humanitarian law, calling on the international community to meet its legal and moral responsibilities and provide immediate protection for civilians in the Gaza Strip.
