Getting into Autumn here in the UK but still plenty of sunflowers about! #FlowersOnSunday
Sunflower with bright yellow petals and brown circular centre against a blue sky and white fluffy clouds. A little bee is just visible hovering over the centre of the flower.

Yes! I used to be a gymnast and trained in Bulgaria a few times, I lived off these! I was trying to describe them to my son recently and thanks to my middle age brain couldn't remember anything except the green wrapper so thank you for this! Now he knows what he's bringing me back from travels

'Don't Stop Me Now' by Queen. Obvious one maybe, but it never fails to lift the mood

I wish this was my own garden and I got to sit under the fountain in the heatwave! Its a lovely public garden in my home city #FlowersOnSunday
A summer garden with green grass, a circle of red white and yellow flowers. In the background a tall fountain with water cascading down forming a spray mist around it. Its a sunny day but the large trees surrounding the garden make it shady and on the side of the picture there is a path just curving out of shot.

I'm an auDHD author & artist & create my botanical 📷s using recent neuroscientific research so they trigger relaxation & lifted mood when you look at them. There's a 20% sale on my card sets & prints in my Etsy shop till Weds, with code LEAFY20. A RT would help so much🌿 www.etsy.com/uk/shop/silv...

My Grandpa used to just sit and occupy himself with his own thoughts. Sometimes he'd tap his foot like he was listening to music, or let out a little laugh like he'd just heard something funny. I would have loved to know what was going on inside his head, he was entertained for hours!

A winter walk and some much needed nature therapy.
A wood showing tall evergreen trees, the floor of the wood is brown with ferns dying off for winter. The winter sun is low and shining through the branches creating a spotlightA stretch of blue water that is perfectly still and creating a mirror effect so the blue winter sky is reflected. Across the shore a line of trees with brown foliage stretches across the picture creating a straight line through the middle with the sky above and water below

If this is any help to you, when I do my daughter's bed I don't change everything at the same time, we alternate the pillowcases and sheet with the duvet cover so there's always something that's not just been changed. It helps lessen the sensory impact x

Going back to October here but I was having a bit of a miserable day, went outside for a bit of sunshine therapy and this beauty landed on the wall next to my head. Instant happy boost
Peacock butterfly, brown furry body with large orange wings. Marked with black, yellow and irredescent blue eye shaped markings. Sitting on a red brick wall in the sunshine.

My mum was a big fan of The Beatles and The Monkees, she used to do mixtapes for car journeys and these two songs were always back to back - As a kid I heard them so often together that in my head they've always been the same song, if I hear one I'll automatically start singing the other!

REFINNEJ, cube storage that despite being sold in various configurations will never quite fit in the space you have, you will have a perpetual bruise on your leg from the corner bit that sticks out just a bit too far

From the roadside honesty florist (stick a quid in an old pan) in Wicken,July. My photo’s inspired by the work of Rachel Ruysch (1664-1750). Research shows that when we look at something we find visually appealing dopamine’s released in our brains, lifting mood & improving mental health slightly:

Border biscuits do a dark chocolate ginger, and M&S. Christmas is a good time to stock up, a lot of supermarkets do them as part of their Christmas gift ranges. I get them as a gift...to myself 😆

Right? It also holds the top spot for ultimate tea dunking biscuit, there's none better

Finally, we tackle the important issues! 1. Dark chocolate covered ginger 2. Milk choc Hobnob 3. Shortbread

Today’s poem is called ‘The Question’.
The Question

Erm, well – I begin, shifting nervously in my chair –
if it’s true there is no heaven and no hell,
no eternity or long hereafter,
no divine plan or offstage direction from an invisible hand,
then how do we make sense of it all,
how do we make our way through this life,
this glorious, ridiculous, ramshackle world of ours,
with its wars and brutality, conflicts and petty arguments,
the ten thousand tiny acts of kindness
which happen unnoticed before breakfast,
and all that love and pain, happiness and loneliness
that comes to us unannounced, by turns,
as if we ourselves were pitched daily
onto the waves of one of its vast, mysterious oceans,
not knowing whether today is the day we drown
or we find ourselves washed up
on some strange but friendly shore?

Mmm – you say, after a lengthy silence –
what I meant was … do you have any questions
about the job?

Beautiful. I love taking pictures of flowers, tulips are a particular favourite. I'm in England, the land of grey skies so obviously I have to share this rain-soaked specimen from my garden!

Whilst I’m not leaving X as yet, I would very much like to spend more time here. So, if you see this and you’d be kind enough to share it to let readers find me, that would be greatly appreciated. Hi!

You are my ideal companion! I'm always stopping to try and find out plant names, I get left behind on walks all the time because I'm busy Googling or snapping pics to look up later!

Hi from the UK! Here's a little guy I caught having a quick break after performing some death-defying acrobatics across the trees and fences. I tried getting a picture mid-air but he was going so fast all I got was a grey blur!
