I'm an auDHD author & artist & create my botanical 📷s using recent neuroscientific research so they trigger relaxation & lifted mood when you look at them. There's a 20% sale on my card sets & prints in my Etsy shop till Weds, with code LEAFY20. A RT would help so much🌿 www.etsy.com/uk/shop/silv...

A winter walk and some much needed nature therapy.
A wood showing tall evergreen trees, the floor of the wood is brown with ferns dying off for winter. The winter sun is low and shining through the branches creating a spotlightA stretch of blue water that is perfectly still and creating a mirror effect so the blue winter sky is reflected. Across the shore a line of trees with brown foliage stretches across the picture creating a straight line through the middle with the sky above and water below

From the roadside honesty florist (stick a quid in an old pan) in Wicken,July. My photo’s inspired by the work of Rachel Ruysch (1664-1750). Research shows that when we look at something we find visually appealing dopamine’s released in our brains, lifting mood & improving mental health slightly:

Today’s poem is called ‘The Question’.
The Question

Erm, well – I begin, shifting nervously in my chair –
if it’s true there is no heaven and no hell,
no eternity or long hereafter,
no divine plan or offstage direction from an invisible hand,
then how do we make sense of it all,
how do we make our way through this life,
this glorious, ridiculous, ramshackle world of ours,
with its wars and brutality, conflicts and petty arguments,
the ten thousand tiny acts of kindness
which happen unnoticed before breakfast,
and all that love and pain, happiness and loneliness
that comes to us unannounced, by turns,
as if we ourselves were pitched daily
onto the waves of one of its vast, mysterious oceans,
not knowing whether today is the day we drown
or we find ourselves washed up
on some strange but friendly shore?

Mmm – you say, after a lengthy silence –
what I meant was … do you have any questions
about the job?

Whilst I’m not leaving X as yet, I would very much like to spend more time here. So, if you see this and you’d be kind enough to share it to let readers find me, that would be greatly appreciated. Hi!
