🔸 In Gaza City, a pre-dawn strike on the Safadi family’s apartment on Thirtieth Street killed 4 people, including two young girls and a woman. Their 9-year-old son was critically wounded in the attack and underwent the amputation of a leg.

🔸 A man was killed and 8 others wounded when a drone struck people near the Dream Palace hall west of Khan Younis; the wounded were taken to Nasser Medical Complex.

🔸 Further strikes and gunfire killed a woman in Beit Lahiya and a man near the Saftawi junction in northern Gaza, while a drone wounded four people, one critically, in Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan neighborhood.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said this morning at least 1,007 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire was announced in October. The cumulative toll since October 2023 has risen to 73,018 killed and over 173,000 wounded.

The governor of Lamerd said the “United States and the Zionist regime fired missiles at the sports hall while female students were playing inside.”

The Associated Press reported the strikes hit four locations, including the sports hall, two residential areas and a hall near a school, with officials warning the toll could rise.

14 people were wounded. Monitors say there was no military presence at the site.

The strike is part of an escalating SAF drone campaign across RSF-held parts of Kordofan, where at least 57 civilians have been killed in multiple attacks over four days, including strikes on a market and a displacement shelter.

Wētā are native insects of NZ. They are giant flightless crickets. This is one I disturbed collecting in apples. Wētā are preyed on by introduced pests - rats cats hedgehogs and some are now critically endangered. They live in holes in our apple trees where rot has set in. #weta #apples #orchard
