Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Don't think we'll be having too much beer on the deck #nlwx left this "summer". But man oh man it's nice. 0101

Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Two days in a row of brush cutter work here at Gander Disc Golf Course, and coincidentally, two days in a row for #TeaByTheSeaInTheTrees: Airport Nordic edition. #nlwx is making this work perfect to be out doing. 270
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Well I finally got an answer about all the brown trees just outside of Clarenville. Seems it was a spotted tussock moth. Doesn't discriminate what trees it goes after apparently. #TheMoreYouKnow 130

Reposted by Justin BoudreauRyan Snoddon @ryansnoddon.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Cape Breton totals so far: 150-250+ mm in 48 hrs. Showers/periods of rain continue to track in. Another trace to 5 mm today for most; however, potential for another 10 to 20 mm across Victoria county and through Sydney and Cape Breton county. The rain finally tapers off tonight and into Monday. 0196
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Well that hits quite literally close to home. 020
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Another Gander Disc Golf edition of #TeaByTheSeaInTheTrees today, since #nlwx currently isn't much good for anything else. Just a bit of cleaning up before the upcoming tournament. In spite of all the grey and drizzle, it aint so bad out here. 160
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Wabush was reporting freezing fog this morning... Ladies and Gentlemen, we'll be making our descent down into winter now, please stow all your summer valuables and make sure your tray table is in the upright and locked position. I'm just kidding, it's not that drastic, but still... he comin. #nlwx 080
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Phone camera aint so great... But eclipsery nonetheless. 060
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 28/08/2026I've always wanted to be present at a family supper at Peter Cullen's house to see if him saying something mundane like "Would you please pass the salt?" in his Optimus voice would make it sound awesome. Let's be honest, we know it would. Iconic voice. 030

Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Tried to get the phone to take a decent moon shot, turned the exposed down and got this... Close enough I suppose? Amusing to note that the full moon is apparently tomorrow night. Coulda fooled me, other than it's not eclipsing, so it's not full. 020
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 27/08/2026August 26th and I'm finally getting to burn the last of the spring cleanup... And this wood still isn't dry. It's hissing like a bunch of easily offended people watching standup comedy. Wicked evening for it though. Warm and barely a breath of wind. #nlwx 160
Reposted by Justin BoudreauDave Sills 🍁🌪️🎶⚓☮️ @davesills.ca · 25/08/2026I've seen a lot of waterspout photos and video, and have taken some myself, but have never seen this quasi-steady state 'corkscrew' structure before. I think it's rare with tornadoes over land as well. @chrisknoxphotog.bsky.social captured something special with this one over Lake Ontario! 0123
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 23/08/2026Beauty #nlwx for #TeaByTheSea: Salvage edition. Had to stop at Salvaje brewing Co after the hike to sample the beer and food. The beer could use some work, the food was decent, the spot is lovely, especially with no wind like there was today. I hope they do well. 1110
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 21/08/2026There hasn't been much nice deck weather this summer compared to previous years. Greatly enjoying my tea and my book as I get distracted by the latest batch of young birds chasing each other around the yard. Add the wind in the trees and bees in the flowers, you got yourself some local zen. #nlwx 050
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Kind of impressive in a bad way when forecast models refuse to catch up to reality even after being surprisingly wrong for 4 straight model runs. At least the general idea is still holding true, showers, slowly moving eastward. #nlwx 040
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 17/08/2026I don't suppose anyone knows what's going on with the trees just north of clarenville? There's a huge area where the majority of the trees are dying \ turning brown. Small section on the park too. It hasn't been dry this year, so I'm a bit stumped, unless they all died last year...? #nlwx 220
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Eclipse be eclipsing. Took me a second to figure out why the satellite was so dark over the Lab Sea. #nlwx 060

Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 05/08/2026The Regatta should totally pair up the day with something like Marconi Day. If it's too windy to row then they could have a kite flying display while they wait. Celebrate receiving radio signals from Europe while making good use of the wind. #nlwx 050

Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 22/07/2026Finally nice enough without swarms of mosquitoes to come enjoy some #TeaByTheSeaInTheTrees: Gander Disc Golf edition. Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Been a while since I've been out with the pup for #TeaByTheSea: Gander Lake Edition. Probably mostly due to nippers and blackflies... Today #nlwx is providing a classic summer breeze, taking the bite out of the biters. 060

Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 03/07/2026To think I've been playing disc golf like 400 m away from this view and didn't know. Got a view of the Humer Arm and Corner Brook (ish) between rounds of not particularly impressive thunderstorms. Bit of heavy rain but very little action so far. Cool fog over the hills though. #nlwx 190

Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 27/06/2026Beauty #nlwx day filled with birdsong and floral smells for #TeaByTheSea: Big Corduroy Pond edition. Nice to get some consistent summer weather finally. Like most years, turns on like a switch the last week of June. 0100
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 26/06/2026Someone finally turned the breakers on for Summer. Very good agreement until about July 3rd or 4th that every day is going to top out in the mid 25's until then. Quite frankly, in light of deadly heat waves in Euro, this kinda of forecast is a blessing. #nlwx 150

Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Perfect #nlwx to head down to Little Harbour for a sunset version of #TeaByTheSea: Gander Lake Edition. No actual view of the sun from down there, but watching dozens of little fish breaking the mirror surface after flies was all I needed. 050
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 22/06/2026Dewpoint matters. The other day 13 \ 10 felt perfectly comfortable in mostly cloudy conditions. Today 15 \ 7 and it feels cool without sun directly on me. #nlwx 030
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 21/06/2026It's these strikes that are the dangerous ones in dry conditions, happening well outside of the main storm. It was one like this that started the central fires that one pandemic year. Thankfully, we're in for a night and full day of drizzle and showers tomorrow. #nlwx 050
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 20/06/2026Clouds are cauliflowering nicely today. I think I'm hearing some distant rumbles... Could be big trucks hitting bumps too. There is an approaching storm SSW of Gander though. Fingers crossed! #nlwx. Lol nm, definitely thunder. 040

Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 17/06/2026Here's a sat vid of the rain band moving over the northeast coast this morning. This is a good demonstration of what happens when you have too much shear for the amount of lift. You can see the heavy showers puffing up over and over but blowing downstream before they get too big. #nlwx 130
Justin Boudreau @isotachtics.bsky.social · 15/06/2026I always find it interesting that some folks will play music so loud you can hear it over the town din from like a block away. I wish I was that confident that everyone in a 1 km radius also wants to listen to my music. 030
