In order to be an effective politician you need to be able to hold complicated ideas and explain them to the populace or you need to be so persuasive that your lies go unchecked. One of those leads to a healthy society. One of those does not. FOM is an excellent thing. It is not the enemy.

It’s a lot easier to just make freedom of movement the enemy than it is to repair economies, increase housing and societal care, improve education systems and care for the environment. Politics are not simple and politicians should not be either.

FOM means that countries cannot keep their citizens by default, instead they must be desirable locations to live with services that can compete with those of neighbouring countries. We are not prisoners in our own countries anymore, we are free to seek better. Which is an inconvenient truth.

This is interesting to me as someone who had a contrary reaction to the sedative given, which then led to the top up wearing off quickly. Nobody noticed until I said ‘ow that hurts’ and then me & the gastroenterologist had a long chat afterwards about weird drugs reactions. Tldr; do not recommend!

I drive a dark blue BMW and sometimes wear my hi-viz jacket and sunglasses just to see how many drivers behave themselves and drive carefully. It's amazing how many do. The police should pay civilians to do this as a duty to keep bad drivers in check.
