Gradius III SA-1 is one my most proud ROM hacks. Zero slowdown. Gameplay fluid as a rocket. You can either play it unlocked (60 FPS and harder) or play the Origin version (60 FPS with speed controls for fair difficulty). It's available for download and works on real hardware.

This is Super Metroid on the SA-1 chip. No music yet, but SFX plays, opening works. Impressive that even with SFX only the opening is dark and the ambience hits hard. Been working the entire weekend on this (among with SimCity multi-languages). Hope to share more scenes soon.

We finished this shot near the end of production—it was one of the most straightforward shots I was a part of. The most back-and-forth between the director and us was about the placement, brightness & size of the star that is in the sky. Animating all the little glints and flares was a lot of fun.

The difficulty level of the one-two-punch of "X-Men: First Class" (re-cast prequel!) and "X-Men: Days of Future Past" (mixing old and new casts+time travel!) cannot be understated. The fact that these two movies are as good as they are is something special.

I've seen 14 movies released in 2026 so far and none of them had cinematography that was "flat, no-contrast, grey sludge" lighting and color grading. I ask again, what movies are people watching, because all these film influencers keep saying that every movie looks bad these days.
