There was no ideological heart. There needed to be a clear project to make people's lives better. Instead the "pragmatic" project of cuts to vital lifelines continued. It felt like a continuation of Tory policy because it picked up exactly the same talking points without any plan to transform them.

Top story today is that the EHRC will pursue the NHS and other bodies if they don’t comply with the new ruling (i.e. scrap policies that are trans-inclusive) 🙃 Parliament can easily pass an amendment to explicitly include trans women, but that would mean doing the right thing for once 😒
