## The post-industrial electronic artist’s latest release is _Inner_ (Tri-Labs). _Inner_ ‘s pieces, several of which run over ten minutes long, use grating, pulsing sound to explore the underbellies of consciousness. Even the titles harrow: “alone again (and again [and again]),” “DAMNATION NOW,” “deserve how i feel.” It’s a dark album, but it feels more like a journey through bleakness than a coming to rest within it. “i don’t trust you,” the shortest track, shines like a black supernova. Organ- and bell-like tones drone, glittering obsidian, sometimes in harmony, other times in dissonance; the effect is that of total revelation, a painful experience, but one filled with its own kind of majesty.
