Because one person demanded it! A bsky exclusive video! As far as I can tell, Alice in Flagland is the first hip-hop song in video games. Here's the song in its entirety! youtu.be/06WdayRfqjE

SEGA SATURN, SHIRO! @segasaturnshiro.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Is there any harm in using AI to work on — or entirely create — projects for the Sega Saturn and elsewhere in the retro gaming scene? Yes, PandaMonium says in this opinion column, equating such work to digital asbestos: www.segasaturnshiro.com/2026/09/24/c... #sega #saturn #segasaturn #retrogaming

Column: All A.I. Projects Are Digital Asbestos

The views expressed in this article do not necessarily represent the views of all SHIRO! Media Group contributors. The cost of modern day video game consoles and personal computers have skyrocketed…

This, THIS! I'm all for it. Literacy should not be a luxury. Algorithms telling you to buy $100 book keychains (YES THOSE ARE REAL) shouldn't hold ANYONE back from their love of reading. There will always be free options! And always, ALWAYS go to your public library.

they're the only ones who seem to understand that you can't just wait for a show that you don't advertise to hit before greenlighting a second season to air 5 years later, they are fine with giving even mediocre performing shows 2, 3 + seasons, bc it's okay for a show to not be a massive hit

If you're like me and on iOS, and got locked out of 18+ servers, but you're classified as an adult, go into the discord web app and recheck the age restricted servers on iOS. Even if it's already checked, uncheck it and check it again. That should solve your issue. This whole thing is dumb as hell.

One funny thing I've realized over time is that taking a break from a game you're trying to learn actually does help. I've found it's the case for fighting games and tonight was the first time I've grinded DoDonPachi in a few days and it's the best I've done. This image is just unironically true.

The game certainly proved popular when it was revealed at the AOU'96 Show 'there were middle-aged men who practically rushed over to hug the cabinet and shed tears of joy (slight exaggeration)' As a middle aged man who likes Xevious, will I be able to contain myself in a few hours time?🤔🥲🫂😂

Coverage of the game at AOU'96. Many rows of red Namco cabs are running the game & being played. No one is hugging the cab or crying but that may have been before the photo was taken

Tomorrow, Discord will place everyone into an age group using account signals. They claim 90% of users won't have to confirm their age. They are also introducing new verification methods if you do need to verify that you are an adult, including Credit Cards and App Stores.

More than 90% of you won’t be asked to confirm your age. Since our last post about teen safety, we've had to launch age assurance solutions in more places, including Texas and Brazil. Laws requiring age assurance are expanding around the world. Rather than waiting to be told how to do it, we’re launching our own privacy-preserving approach: one that reflects your feedback.
You can check your age group status at User Settings > Account Status. We've estimated your age group automatically from account signals like how long your account has existed or the kinds of servers you're a part of. We don’t look at your messages, calls, or other content. We're launching this over the course of this week, so it may take a few days to reach your account.
If you're in the adult age group (18+), nothing changes. If you're in the teen age group (13-17), you can keep messaging friends, joining voice calls, and participating in non-age-restricted servers, but with additional safety protections that block age-restricted content, spaces, and settings. Otherwise, Discord works the same. More on this below.
We've added several new ways to confirm your age, including some that don't require an ID or selfie (including credit cards). If you're an adult but weren't automatically placed in the adult age group, you can confirm your age group at any time by going to User Settings > Account Status. More on the new options below.
