Really need my body to lock in and heal this pinched nerve on its own cuz I do not have health insurance and cannot afford to go to the doctor lmao

It’s been forever since I got to sit down and play magic. I’m gonna be so out of practice by the time EW rolls around.

Seeing all these people getting ready for Inktober or whatever we’re calling it now is pretty crazy. My October is gonna be all about how much sleep I’ll be catching up on. But have fun trying to get your engagement posts out.

It's kinda funny that a piece can do well enough on one social media platform to merit making a print out of it, but if the post doesn't hit more than 40 notes on tumblr I'm just like, "nah, can't make it into a print."

I do not understand how people are having a hard time interpreting the finale to Goodbye Lara. They should really open the schools lmao.

Gawd my IG algorithm is nothing but artists schilling mentorships for people “ready to make it.” or “tips to double your sales at con.” Makes me wanna kms lmao

I also always feel this way to my very core. Like I’m constantly in career crisis and a disappointment to my entire family lmao

I think a lot about this cartoon of me from back in 2015 right before I decided to move back to Texas. i don’t think much about me has changed in that I’m just as accident prone and always have something medically wrong with me at all times.

Working out of town since my sister is recovering from surgery so posting and whatnot will be slower/non existent for the week

What’s nice about a slower con is you can finish thumbnails for other projects

Day 3! In the black but would love to afford groceries for more than a week lawl. Stop on by. I’m almost out of a few things.

Maeca Art COMMISSIONS OPEN @maecaart.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Like sure we salvaged today after 10 and a half hours behind the booth and I’m now in the black on the con, but I have so many projects and pieces I’d rather be working on.

Always need a bad con after a string of really good ones to humble yourself. Nothing like a good kick to the groin to remind you of where you came from lmao

At Galaxycon Des Moines this weekend. Was here mainly for a va autograph but they cancelled so now I’m just here lmao

Maeca Art COMMISSIONS OPEN @maecaart.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Thinking about IXcon always gets me depressed and anxious cuz it’s mostly a networking show and being surrounded by actual artists is always so stressful. Like sure this year the judges let me skip the line and get in automatically but will that translate into future work? It’s all so iffy.

I have a bad habit where once I make a bad piece or two I spiral for a bit thinking this is the end and that no one will ever love, (or more importantly) hire me if I don't always make banger piece after banger piece.
