I keep thinking about my time in Japan and all the absolutely embarrassing things that I did. Honestly, there’s too many to count. I keep thinking back and I feel like it held me back a lot from enjoying all of the amazing experiences. Idk. Maybe one day I’ll go back and have a better time.

You can’t say “the US values different things than academics. It starts young and it needs to change if we want to actually produce engineers to hire domestically instead of from foreign countries” and “we need to decrease the education budget” in the same sentence.

I feel like the less I have on my plate, the more stressed I feel than if I have a full one. It’s how you immediately deal with the stuff added to it that determines how you feel about it later… Sometimes you simply cannot procrastinate, even when you have a chance to catch your breath.

Remembering the time in high school gym, they were picking people for kickball. I was always the last person picked, so I didn't care. The leader of one of the teams go, "I want to pick this person because she always tries. She's always giving her all even when it's hard." AND SAID MY NAME.
