During renovations of the Halifax Minster's unique Jacobean box pews, these metal nameplates which originally designated private seat ownership for prominent local families between the 17th and 19th centuries were carefully removed. The nameplates were preserved and are

Another research tool developed with the VRTI Knowledge Graph for Irish History.Many of the surviving original census returns contain parts of the wax seal used to secure the letter.
