I think I found it! It's from Vagrant Story (2000). It's actually more chicken-like than I thought. Really great concept for a harpy.

I saw an image on an insta story from an old video game of a harpy, but the woman's head was on the chest instead of replacing the bird's head. The idea stuck in my brain. That one wasn't a chicken though.

The themes about rigid hierarchies making the humans fail were well communicated, imo, but I hadn't considered before now the monster is the opposite. Godzilla is constantly evolving, going from fully aquatic to upright to growing little humanoids in his tail. The humans only win when they adapt too

There are a few of these. Rubbing their neck when thinking a la Hank Hill, The palm up "gimme a dollar" talking pose. I had an animation director who said something like, "I have never once touched my cheeks when surprised, but these characters are doing the Home Alone thing all the time."

I lived in Ottawa for almost five years, many of those car free, I might have used the train twice? It didn't ever seem to connect anywhere I was with anywhere I wanted to be. I'd use the Metro in Montreal more in a weekend than the O Train in a year.

I picked up a sketchbook for the first time in years. I usually use photocopy paper on a clipboard to draw. It's been a nice change. Using a sketch book forces me to sit with drawings more, reworking things that bother me instead of just tossing the page out. I tend to go back and ink more too.

Was it? Shoot! I thought because it was Titmouse it was Flash. I know Flying Bark used Harmony for Monkie Kids, so I'd bet Rise was Harmony too. Thanks for letting me know. I'll leave the post up since it's still awesome looking animation :)
