I knew Apex would be good because it's directed by Baltasar Kormákur (I loved Katla and Trapped) Cast on top form, especially Theron as the indefatigable Sasha and Taron Egerton's gloriously psychotic Ben. Although predictable at times, it's still a compelling watch and a decent thriller/horror.

We never mention is many who are #neurodivergent spend years being given inappropriate serious medication, anti depression, anti anxiety, even anti psychotic drugs. It really is horrific as it never works, years in and out of therapy. So if your trying to save NHS budgets tbh. Diagnosis matters.

An illustrative piece in that it says the quiet part out loud: When you ask *who* is "wrongly" included in the autism spectrum, the response is almost always "women". In other fields, this phenomenon of women being immediately dismissed, overlooked and underdiagnosed is called medical misogyny.

What worries me most about this is that it is likely to be autistic kids who will lose support at the most crucially needed time. Those (often girls) who are perceived to be "fine in school" at primary because of the consistency and sense of safety. Then the transition to secondary is devastating.
