I feel like this is an opportunity to add some bonds. But the factors that get us here are largely exogenous and can change at any moment. This raises the risk 5.0 or 4.5 on the 10 year is as likely (in some sense) as going to 6%.

I once had a debate with someone where I pointed out the fact that Palm (when it was still a company) was (temporarily) worth more than GM and it was stupidly over-valued. In a sincere manner, he argued that this made sense. Palm was the operating system that will help build the future. 1/3

I think this sentiment is very true. It was because of the GFC, the period between 2008 and 2019 had real rates at zero percent or less. Combined with the massive expansion of the Fed balance sheet. My mental model is that this period created the giant wad of money that sloshes around. 1/10
