We've got Mark Pougatch digging into the Man City story on @wearetrackradio.bsky.social right now. Almost. Technically, right now we're playing Badly Drawn Boy, so you've got 2mins34s to click this... trackradio.com/listen

I think it's probably for the best if outlets print two tables - with and without City's results. The January fire sale is going to be fun: "Give us Haaland and we won't sue you"

The PL are in quite the pickle now. I think you'd have to strip the titles, wouldn't you? And a massive fine is inevitable because those legal fees need paying. But what do you for the rest of the season?

I used to work at the McDonalds on Chelmsford High Street in the 90s. I saw things there. Things I can’t forget. I am no fan of the daytime menu. But I would crawl over broken glass for a Sausage and Egg McMuffin.

Also, I’ve just discovered that the Americans get a Sausage and Egg McMuffin meal for $5 which is £3.77 and very much not the £6 that I pay for salt salvation if slightly scorched from the night before. DAZN’s inclusion of US ads usually make me smile, but that hurts. It really hurts.

Really enjoying the Jets with a functioning quarter-back. I’m relatively new to the sport and I don’t profess to being an expert, but I wish they’d tried this sooner.

1-3 and a horrific own goal. I am done with this, I am done with Barrow. Bad day at the office.

This lot are the most aggressive, upsetting thing to come out of Barrow since the Wights. (This is Bluesky so I know you’ve all read the books, this is not a high risk cultural reference)

I realise that there have been bigger sports stories this weekend, but nevertheless I would have appreciated it if one of you had warned me that Barrow press like 2010 Borussia Dortmund. This is proving an edgier watch than I had anticipated.

I'd be fine with relegation to L2 if I was a City fan, tbh. Lower ticket prices, three years without VAR, a great chance of completing The 92. Of course, I say that as someone who supports a team desperate just to get to L2, but there you go.

I'm very confused. Firstly because even saying mad stuff like this ten years ago would have National Front/Combat 18 level racist. But mostly because I was born in England, I speak English and am perpetually disappointed by the England team. But my family line is Scottish. Am I not English now?

If you like those 'Golden Age of the Other Place' epic threads of drama, this is engrossing stuff. I hope they all get where they're supposed to be going soon. Or at least to a place with toothpaste. Or a better calibre of wine. And may there be a heavy reckoning for whoever did this to them.

The Jets have taken the Packers to overtime which is weird because I didn’t expect the Jets to take the Packers to anything other than an all-you-can-score free buffet.

Great to have Steven Caulker on @wearetrackradio.bsky.social, he's excellent. I've always been a bit baffled at the way convention dictates there can be only eight pundits and everyone has to share them. Steven is one of the best ex-player voices I've found. And thanks to UndrTheCosh for that.

I think that my fellow countrymen and women, especially those on the right, will concur that talk of secession from the Crown is treacherous. In my experience, enemies of the state only understand one language, that of force. Send in the army. Crush the uprising. Extinguish this rebellion.

Christ on a bike. We've had 118% possession, we've got an xG of 34 and it's taken this long to put it to bed. I hate this division.

Earlier this evening, I suggested that the New York Jets were perpetually awful and the weaker party in my Jets-Southend sporting axis. I may have been as wrong about this as I was the whole Ramsdale>Raya thing.

Jets take the lead on their first drive, what foul sorcery is this? Surely someone should have run into the post or set their own shoes on fire or been distracted by a duck. If this carries on, I’m switching teams.

I thought Arteta’s decision to replace Ramsdale with Raya was harsh, but I am prepared to admit that, on balance, he might have been right. I hope this brings him comfort.

I accept that, on the balance of play, Carlisle deserved their last-kick-of-the-game equaliser and that a Southend win would have been a robbery, but I am still going to be huffy about it. No man should have to look to the New York Jets to rescue some joy from a weekend.

We're talking about Southend United on @wearetrackradio.bsky.social this morning. Mostly about their very long trip to Carlisle, but I trust my team to also mention their excellent early season form and remind other clubs to keep their hands off Kieron Dyer. www.trackradio.com/listen/

I take no joy at all from test matches like this. Or cricketing seasons like this. At its best, there is NOTHING like test cricket, but this is not its best. And don't get me started on the domestic game. Seriously. I'll cry.

There really isn't anything better than being two down and winning 3-2. Three down and 4-3 is silly and means something serious went wrong for the other lot. But 3-2 feels great, it feels right, it feels like a springboard for the season. We really needed that.

I really do want Southend to get out of this swamp division, but I have to say that I'd miss DAZN's coverage terribly. Football without a single static camera and piped-in BBC local radio commentary is nothing.

1-0 up away at Woking. Weird game. I think Southend currently have this season's highest cumulative xG per actual chance. And if that sort of talk doesn't get me laid, I don't know what will.
