🇪🇺 The new digital ID & biometric verification law called EU KIDS ACT must be stopped! It is a serious #HumanRights nightmare, especially for #Privacy & would negatively change the internet forever. We need to stand together & fight this dystopian, authoritarian mass-surveillance movement! 🔽 1/2 🔽

A square graphic design. The flag of the EU, on top is written in mostly white: #STOP EU KIDS ACT. EU is red and the bottom and top sides are also red.

i wish people would stop saying it because it’ll never be an enumerable single year also, similarly, in the time that i’ve been using computers i’ve learned that you can get windows to shut the hell up and that’s gonna be more than good enough for most people

They Don't care they just want slop lmao

Reddit post by a user in r/decomps that reads: "Batman: Arkham Asylum (Xbox 360) now runs natively on windows, no emulator: static recompilation + a Vulkan renderer. Android is next"

Attached is a picture of the game supposedly running "natively"

Comments from the same reddit post;
User 1: There's literally already a PC port of this game.

User 2: And, unlike most ports from those days, it has zero compromises, it is superior to the consoles version in every way possible.

User 3: And it's always like 5 dollars

Grim himself in the GitHub repo said it’s to prevent from vibecoded forks ruining any motivation for working on it for him. i also am hesitant to upload my own code for fear of feeding the slop machine

YouTube hasn't paid out music streaming earnings to Distrokid for almost two months with no communication, so my income has been cut in half just for fun. It's a startling reminder that the entire streaming ecosystem could just go away overnight because a tech company lets it. Buy albums if you can.

disingenuous and utterly misleading reporting by RPS here: Discord did not suffer any kind of breach this is a completely-unaffiliated-with-Discord service

Gaming chat app Discord has suffered another user data breach, with a suspected 1 million email addresses stolen alongside (potentially many more) user IDs and IP addresses. While Discord was not targeted directly, third party security service Double Counter have reported a "deliberate, multi-stage attack" wherein hackers spent nearly six hours poking around their infrastructure before the vulnerability was closed.

Double Counter essentially acts as a bouncer bot for Discord servers, promising to detect and block unsanctioned alt accounts and prevent hostile 'raids' by large groups of malicious users. While its efficacy in that mission is debated by Discord users, and the service has previously been accused of selling user data for revenue, the fact is that Double Counter can collect and store personal info of the users that visit its 'protected' servers. Info that, now, has been partly or entirely nicked by Internet miscreants.

By Double Counter’s own estimates, around 1 million user email addresses have been affected, with databases of Discord IDs, usernames, IP addresses, and even location info for up to 28 million users also "partly" copied by the hackers. Security breach trackers Have I Been Pwned further report that 275,000 of the pinched emails and usernames have since been posted publicly.

i also find it hard to believe that one of the more prolific console modders who’s been doing stuff like this for over a decade without vibecoding would suddenly switch to entirely vibecoded software
