The speed in which this El Niño has developed is extraordinary. Global Sea Surface temperatures are very close to breaking the all time record, this will be the strongest El Niño ever recorded with I suspect, far reaching severe weather impacts over the coming months.

A very unusual nest! A pair of Wood Warblers Phylloscopus sibilatrix feeding young Wrens Troglodytes troglodytes. I presume the warblers' nest was predated and they found this similar looking nest nearby and began to feed the young even though the adult Wrens were too! Dartmoor, Devon this morning.
