Two more days of short (1-mile) runs yesterday and today. Channelling my inner Betsy as I battle through #crustylungs, but what a joy to be running outside again! #RunRunRun #educatorsONtherun

It's been a while! Kicked out a winded 1.6 km this afternoon in between snow squalls as I try and get my legs back under me. Never a bad day to get moving again 👟 #RunRunRun #educatorsONtherun

Check out this FREE Nishnaabemwin card deck resource by the Ways to Wellness Project! It’s in the Nipissing dialect. You can access online HERE: earthandskystudio.ca/products/nis... You’ll have to “checkout” but it doesn’t cost anything, they’ll send the PDF to your email!
A screenshot showing a photo of the front cover of a card deck - it is mostly red with yellow geometric designs and a triangle in each direction to represent the four colours/directions: yellow for the east, red for the south, black for the west and white for the north.

In the middle there is a circle - inside is cedar, a sunflower, a brain and a pair of hands, with the words “nishnaabemwin/anishinaabemowin language deck” surrounding the outside circle.

At the bottom are these words: Nishnaabemwin/Anishinaabemowin Language Deck : Bilingual Flashcards with PhoneticsA screenshot of the backside of the card deck, in red with some yellow lines with text inside.

The text says: Mishnaabemwin / Anishinaabemowin Language Deck

The #OAME webinar w/ @mathematize4all.bsky.social was 👌🏽. While many want simple answers for serving disabled students in math, Rachel reminds us that disability is complicated. But, listening to students will help us design more open math classes that work to include everyone #iTeachMath #EduSky
A picture of a slide with a quote from Rachel Lambert’s book, “Rethinking Disabilities and Mathematics.”

The quote is: “When we as teachers trust in the thinking of our students, especially our students with disabilities, we create the conditions our students need to trust themselves as mathematical thinkers. When we, their teachers, believe that our students can and will solve complex problems, they will be able to.”

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. Each year, the trans community loses too many lives, especially trans women of color, to hate and violence. More than ever, we must stand by our trans family and support them, hold space for them, and insist the scapegoating and targeting stop. Now.
