This is the first photo picked for him on a thumbnail in a long time where he's not sweaty. I've been noticing how the members of the AI cult have been portrayed in news thumbnails, most times not in attractive, put together ways but then the pieces are usually supportive. Just interesting.

My dad taught me how to read both city and road maps and we used to plan road trips we never took all the time. I had a strategically folded to downtown Denver map I'd use when I went dancing but mostly I'd drive by feel until I hit either of the two thru streets I recognized. (1/3)

Chicagoland friends, I have a favor to ask. I have a pro bono client, a Black woman, who is currently facing charges for allegedly pointing a gun at her abusive ex - who admitted to raping her. I would love if there could be a show of support for her at her next few court dates.

Oh that's cool. We can have another Colorado law on the books that gets nullified by federal legislation/decision. We can add it to our collection.

Ohhh. Ok. This was all the music chatter reason. When are we going to figure out that RS magazine started doing rage bait top 100s in the buzzfeed listicle years and they really mean nothing while simultaneously keeping the lights on at RS magazine?

Literally just this minute finished and grasped to my heart while sighing. Anderson creates the most beautiful people for us to fall in love with while we hear their weird (complimentary, Shakespearean sense) tales. The Lord of the Wood. E.M. Anderson
the cover of the book The Lord of the Wood by E.M. Anderson; text says a novel; Even a beastly woodland protector needs saving. The image shows trees and thistle plants vining together into a stag with glorious antlers

My dad loved his bread machine. He would set it to be done at 6a when nobody else was awake. He would greedily slice the heel then explain to me that "the loaf needs to rest before you can have any" while piling delicious hot buttered bread into his mouth.

I learned this week that the New York Times was founded 175 years ago. There is a useful set of pieces floating around on this for journalism history buffs. But what struck me is that means the Times was founded 25 years *after* the black press which will celebrate its 200th birthday in a few months

No one ever talks about the fact that women in sports are expected to not just be athletic but also conventionally feminine and attractive. If you are too "butch" in sports you tend to get bullied out. This is a a very real factor in how well women perform in sports.

moderation that allows for cooling down is absolutely the thing to build towards. I have a feeling this brew policy in tandem with automatic moderation will just result in so many accounts just being removed with no notice or ability to ask for a review

One of the first cracks in the facade for me was this idea that the United States would have anything to do with the return of Christ. Though Christian Nationalists are sure setting up the structural means for the End Times Economy described in Revelation for sure.

I hope this is obvious, but: The reason conservatives attack Title IX is because it profoundly reshaped society. Women have accessed so many spaces that were boys’ clubs 50 years ago, due in large part to higher education—and all the opportunities available to people with degrees and expertise.
