I don't have much to say about the Ocarina of Time remake because my first Zelda game was Majora's Mask, which is my favorite and left a deep impression on me. But the one thing I do hope is that they do justice to that poor shark! Hehe 🦈

junkbot redraw

Using markers on a tiny 2 inch-by-2 inch canvas, I've recreated the famous image of Junkbot, from the classic Lego web game of the same name, reading the "help wanted" section of a newspaper and looking to the side with a sneaky grin. Junkbot is an orange, boxy robot whose body is made of a regular Lego brick, topped with a sloped brick with a retractable panel on the angled part, and with a yellow plate brick on top. They have a square "recycle" symbol on their side, and everything about and around them is angular (my strokes aren't entirely exact, but they came close). Junkbot sits in their home with a green carpet and a lavender-and-light blue vertical striped wallpaper, with a crochet frame reading "I (Heart Symbol) TRASH" on the wall. They have an opened-up piece of newspaper with the headline "HELP" upon it, and the entire scene is bordered by a metallic frame with rivets at the corners.

Oh I immediately recognised that font! It's Shin Go, probably most recognizable for being the go-to font for the UI in every other Nintendo game (although they use a very slightly modified version).

Reddit can be hit or miss but sometimes you find a post that makes it all worth while. I really admire the way they don't talk about the name at any point.

A Reddit post to r/MildlyInfuriating titled "Made hundreds of wristbands for a conference that suddenly got renamed". The body of the post reads:
"I run a small company, and designed and printed hundreds of high quality rubber wristbands for my cousin's Crypto conference. I had to do different colours for the different levels of entry.

Out of nowhere yesterday he suddenly announced he was renaming the conference and moving it partially online. And could only afford to pay me if I produced more with the new name. Ive spent a week on this so far and was already giving him family rates."
